Song for this chapter- wicked games (the weekend)
|Melanie Rose's p.o.v|
When I came back to the party, I noticed Selena sitting with 4 men. She notices me at the same time and raises her hand indicating for me to sit with her.
"I'm going to get us some drinks." She announces as she stands up after my arrival. "Make her feel welcome, she's one of us now." She says with a warning in her tone. She's like Elijah in so many ways it's frightening to watch. The men respect her, the way they do him. She has authority around the place- I can't say I'm surprised given the fact she was also raised in a mafia.
I feel their penetrating eyes scrutinising me as I sit in the middle of two of the men. I clear my throat becoming bored of the awkward silence surrounding us. I turn to the man next to me to see him already staring.
"Can I know your name, since you know mine?" A devilish smirk paints his face as his eyes pierce into me.
His eyes are a bright blue, they hold a certain secret. He flashes me his dazzling smile that obviously gets him laid a lot as I can smell the arrogance that pours from him. Yet, I can't say I'm not intrigued.
"Landon." He speaks confidently before turning to the other men. "That's Jonah-" he points to the dark hair man opposite him. "Jett-" the blonde man besides him, "and Grayson." Who's sitting besides me with an Irritated look on his face.
"What are your roles in the mafia?" I ponder curiously.
"Curious little one aren't you?" Oh! I'm far more than that I want to bite back but decide against that.
Jett and Jonah grin at me before sharing a dark, secretive look with one another. "We're snippers and assassins." Jett chides with pride.
"And have you ever missed a target?" He grins at me proudly.
"Of course not... we're the best in the game."
"What about you?" Grayson notices my question is directed to him and he turns to face me again, the disinterested look not going hidden.
"I train the new members to become soldiers." Although it's a response, is a fairly vivid one and he's yet to display any interest in the conversation, or me.
"And you?" I smiled smugly at the man next to me, Landon. I cross my arms over my chest clearly emphasising my breasts in this low, plunge dress.
His eyes darken as they take in my body, he doesn't even hide the fact he's checking me out but I can't say I mind. If Elijah wants to play me, I'll play him worse.
"I work with Gray, training the soldiers." His arm's places around my shoulder and I naturally lean closer into his embrace as his arm tightened around my shoulder.
"That's great." I chided.
Jonah and Jett excuse themselves and head to the bar. While, Grayson debates staying for a moment before huffing and walking away.
That leaves me and Landon.
I watch as Elijah strolls back into the party with a blonde tramp latched onto his arm. His hair was a rugged mess compared to the gelled perfection it was before hand. His lips looked swollen and his eyes were slightly dilated. It was obvious he'd been drinking and what he'd done with that blonde tramp- which made my bloody boil and sent me to a point of nomadic madness. That I can't even talk about.
"Want to get out of here?" He asked, standing with his hand out stretched in front of him for me to take.
"Are you implying what I think you're implying."
