That damn star mocks me
Because it could see you without having to move an inch
It can admire your beauty
And envy the radiant glow of your gorgeous eyes
The same damn star that glowed a little brighter when I needed it to
When the glow left my eyes because so did you
Maybe it was a reflection
A reflection because now that I have you again my eyes shine brighter
And my star has dimmed to a peaceful luminescence
Calm and waiting for a night when I may need it's shine
