Lightening flashes and illuminates the sky
As fast as the images that fill my mind.
Thunder booms rumbling through my chest and into my core.
I watch as the rain drenches everything around.
And I stand outside
My arms stretched out wide.
And I scream into the storm.
Roaring with the thunder
Feeling alive as the lightening cracks across the sky.
These thoughts, memories, and doubts are as loud as the thunder that surrounds me.
You want to know what makes me strong?
It's moments like this
When I feel weak, scared, alone and vulnerable
It's when I finally give in and scream into the storm.
That's when I feel strong
Because it's then I remember
I am the storm.
