Drunk Speech

Squinting you say. “I'm sorry I thought I. You just look like someone I met 2 years ago." (Of course it's him! But he won't admit it now.)

Paulie clears his throat feeling the strange atmosphere that was circling around.

Hattori speaks. “It's alright.”

Lucci keeps his smile realizing this mission will be much more fun with you around. For the longest time you were lost in his eyes. The way you felt it's as if he were the one wanting to reach out and touch you.

He yearned for the sense of compassion. For so long he wished to see you and now here you stand strong before him.

Not that fragile child he raised. There is too much of him in you too much of a survivor a fighter. Then there is that bloody side he created, that murder machine you keep asleep.

Though he saw nothing more but light for his darkness you saw him nothing more as a threat someone not to trust.

Looking over at Paulie he seemed to be a bit bothered by Lucci who is just staring at you.

Paulie took your hand in his. “Let me keep showing you around.”

Nodding your head you smile and follow along behind him. Lucci remained still his expression had also changed to his regular pissed face. His eyes lingered on Paulie holding your hand in his. Growling he turns around leaving. For 2 years he didn't hear or see you. Now is his 3rd chance of taking you back.

“I don't think you should trust your friend Lucci.” Paulie looks over to you. “He's an alright guy I consider him a great friend to be honest. Don't get intimidated by him he will open up. Just don't do anything pirate like around him."

Humming you understand and perhaps it's not the right time to even say your own opinions.

(Like seriously maybe Paulie is aware and I'm here warning him of his bad friend. How stupid could I get?)

Someone told you to watch out for yourself. Anyone can hold a friendly identity before revealing a true monster. But you can't remember who told you that. A lot of your past is just a black memory.

Lucci smashed his fist against a tree. The tree remained still till it begun to fall back its roots digging out from the ground. Falling down to his knees he rested his head against his arm while his other held a bottle. “Hattori. Is this some type of joke? Her own ghost dares to haunt me?”

Hattori struggles to climb up the tree that’s on the ground. Breathing heavily he too is pissed off and too drunk to fly.

“No you know what. We don’t need her. She left us! Tries to kill me! Threatened to kill me! I the one who made her into what she is now. A beautiful unstoppable war goddess."

Lucci staggers up and falls down on his ass but kept his arm up to keep the bottle from breaking. Hattori shook his head agreeing. “She betrayed us! Ran away like a coward!” Taking a long chug of his bottle he crawls over to Hattori who raises up his glass. “Here you go buddy.” Pouring him some Lucci accidentally spills some to the side.

“I promised to always be with you, to always

protect you. Just as long as you promised never to leave my side. I still kept my promise even though you broke yours. I lifted you up high, you sat up in the skies and just watched me from below. No way in hell will you live without me, I won't break my promise so easily as you did.” That memory of him telling you that echoes in his drunken mind.

Lucci’s top lip shakes as his teeth grind against each other. “No.” Shaking his head denying any such emotions for you. “I refuse to love her again! She wants a stupid life with Paulie than she can fucking do it! Fucking have all the men! I refuse to love her!”

Hattori chugs down his glass slamming it on the tree. Hattori is tired of seeing his master destroying himself like this. Running up to Lucci he holds Lucci’s shirt with his wings. Hattori screeches at Lucci. "Pull yourself together!"

“Damn’t it I won’t! If she wants me she can come to me! But I will no longer waste another minute of my life.”

Lucci looks at Hattori who as well has tears. Lucci closes his hand around Hattori. “You are here because of her! I am who I am because of her!"

Lucci has given blood and bone to be where he is now. But it was all because of you, just as all you are is thanks to him. Lucci knew you were the slowest from the rest he knew you were the weakest. It didn't matter what others said or what they told him. Lucci would always be there for you seeing you higher than anyone else.

Seeing you as his equal. Deep in his heart he knew you were stronger than him. Why?

Because he couldn't find the strength to fight you, he would allow you to win.

He would have allowed you to kill him.

But that night you left him he was torn apart.

Mentally strengthening himself to get rid of all he felt for you. That great confidence you held he built that for you but never did he think that confidence would be turned against him.

No one could say anything about you. At times many questioned why he allowed someone like you to be mentored. All that many said would be ignored for only he knew what he was doing. The man he is now is because you left him.

An ambition of just doing whatever to have that moment of peace. Battling was the only way his mind could be at peace.

You came back alive more alive than ever. Stronger than ever, that's what makes you so terrifying.

Stronger than ever. That battle in the ship, he didn't want to reveal his leopard form. He left his civilian life to do an off mission. You inflicted a lot of damage on him just as he did to you.
