Chan was standing at the empty hallway, wandering his eyes around. He tried to get a closer look to recognize what place he is in. He opened a door at the hallway that leads him to a room. There was a couch, a table, and a shelf at the corner. He also sees a bed. His bed. The trophies and the medals he acquired in his childhood was still placed and hanging by the shelf. He walks toward the shelf and examined it. He's in his room which he thought that looks still the same since he left. Chan touched the shelf realizing it's dusty but one thing caught his attention.
Chan saw a lying picture frame. He lift it up to see a broken frame with his parents and him in it when he was a kid. He was surprised because it is the photo that he used to cherish the most. He suddenly misses them as tears starts to build up from his eyes. But he still can't abandon the feeling of what they did to him. A feeling that he can't remove because it always reminds him of how controlling they are.
He goes outside, wiping his tears and looked at the building he once called his 'home'. He took a deep sigh and try to reminiscene his happy memories with them. Deep inside his heart he's still willing to forgive but it is not up to Chan whether to go back or not. His parents are completely decided about what future they want for Chan.
The wind blows makes Chan shiver so he made his way to the streets. He wondered why it's so empty and quiet. All he can hear are the whistling of the winds, rustling of leaves, and his tinnitus which sometimes can be pretty annoying.
He entered a convenience store so he could warm up by the help of ramyeon but no one was there.
"Hello?!"
He tried shouting hoping maybe someone would respond but no, all he got was an echo of his voice. He decided to leave and made his way to the streets again. He tucked his hands in his hoodie pocket because of the cold. He kept walking until his feet brought him to a forest at the end of the street as the trees starts to rustle as the wind blows.
He walked straight ahead and saw a bonfire not so far away so he decided to get closer to it. He swiped his hands to the branch of trees that's covering his view and was surprised.
"Oh? Hyung is here!"
"Come on! It's cold!"
"Chan, sit with me!"Chan suddenly woke up from his sleep. He sat up straight and notice that he teared up. He wiped his tears with his hands and get out of the bed fully cautious, trying not to wake up the sleeping kids. He remembered, they are staying at Hyunjin's house. He slowly slide the door making his way to the terrace as he cross his arms.
He looked far away thinking why he dreamt such things. He's puzzled about what it could mean. He knows that he met the kids not so long ago but already feel this close to them.
"You're early.."
Chan looked to his side to see Woojin rubbing his eyes, wearing a pajama set.
"Uhmm.. I just woke up from a dream." Chan said pouting.
"Is it bad? That's why you're here?" Woojin said getting closer to him then leaning on to the balcony.
"It is kinda good and bad at the same time." Chan said inserting a laugh.
Woojin just stared at him quietly and smiled.
"I'm not gonna ask anymore but I hope your dream is more on the 'good' side." Woojin said.
Chan smiled back at him and giggled. He found comfort with Woojin around since he's the one who saved him before. Woojin admitted to Chan that he never actually put his martial art skills to good use but he never hesitate when Chan was in danger and for that, he appreciates Woojin.
