Thud. Thud. Thud.
His heart was trying to jump out of his chest or something. Whatever the reason was, the boy wanted to go see her, he wanted his eyes to meet hers and never look away. She was his everything. He needed her. The question was, did she want him? Well, there was only one way to find out right ? "So, you will dance with me" Travis heard Matthew ask Robin, and then her other friend Victoria was dancing with a boy.
Perfect. She was alone. Taking a deep breath he walked towards her, his eyes sparkling but the moment Travis got to her, he lost his cool. "So... uhh... Do ... you wanna dace?" The boy asked shifting on his feet. She turned and faced him, her face was a beautiful light pink, because of this Travis now had a smile placed upon his lips. Brushing his dark blonde hair out of his face, "Yeah, okay..." She answered a smile on her lips. The blue-eyed boy grinned and he put his hands on her hips and she put her hands on his shoulders. Travis pulled her closer, and his blue eyes never left her brown eyes. The song played and the duo danced to the beat. The song was Trust me by The Fray, a steady beat song.
Three minutes went by and the song was over, Travis had a frown tugging at his lips. He didn't want this moment to end. Once again their eyes locked together, only this time the dark blonde haired boy leaned in and pressed his lips to hers. For a half of a second he felt whole, like he had met his other half.
But this, was just a high-school romance.
Travis pulled away and smirked at her, only to turn and walk off. When he turned back he saw her hugging her friends, she looked to him and he smiled, and gave her a small wink.

Days-- No, months went by since that day. Travis hadn't talked to her since, only watched her. It was now December, December sixteenth to be exact. Robin's birthday. "Happy Birthday, Robin!" Her friends cried out giving her a big hug. Travis played with the bracelet and the necklace he bought two weeks ago. If the blue-eyed boy was going to win his love's heart, he'd have to get her friends to accept him first right? "Happy Birthday Robin..." Travis said handing her the bracelet that had a robin bird charm on it. "Th-Thank you, Tr-Travis," Robin said pushing her brown hair out of her eyes only to reveal a look of sadness with confusion. Looking away from the girl, Travis held out a necklace that said 'love' on it.
"Just a small gift for you too," The boy said pressing his lips to her cheek.
Turning around Travis walked away once again, "See you around," The boy said waving to the three girls. The boy's heart was thudding hard in his chest as he walked away. He didn't like leaving her, it hurt. You shouldn't be with someone that hurt you right? But... what if he was meant to be with her? What if leaving her and it hurting was a way of showing him this. Travis was shaking. He was slowly losing his mind to her, his heart. He was losing himself to her.
Losing this battle of love.
