I suppose this question could be used to teach some coughcoughwattpadauthorscoughcough a little somethin' somethin' about CREATIVITY.
I mean, come on people, I want to be proud to be a Wattpad-er, but how can I, when every book on here is the same?
So that brings me to the first part of my answer: creativity makes your writing more worth your pride. If your poem, song, play, book, short story, essay, etc. is the same or very similar to someone else's, then you don't feel quite as good about yourself when you finish as when you create a piece that is completely original to you.
Creativity also generates more reader interest. If the readers feel like they've seen this before, they wont be as engaged as if they were seeing something new.
All around, creativity makes your writing more interesting to read and you feel better when you're done. I hope I'm not the only one that thinks that this question shouldn't need answering...
This has been nightly writing with SM (my real name hidden for security purposes). If anybody other than Ms. Perry would like to ask a question, they can leave it in the comments below, and I can answer it as a side question in the next chapter.
