The Team// Zach Herron

Zach's POV:

We all surrounded Dani's kitchen counter.

"We use zach as bait" Ray said

"What?!" Corbyn reacted

"Huh?" Jack replied

"You're joking" Daniel chimed in

Jonah stood there speechless.

Dani's POV:

"Yeah you're joking right?" Zach added

"No wait, she has a point" I said

everyone's eyes turned to me.

"If Zach is all they want, we quote on quote give them Zach"

Everyone except Ray didn't understand the plan.

"Guys we "give" them Zach but the police will be swarmed around the building" I added

"Can't we just call the police?" Jonah asked

"No we can't...if we do they will kill someone until they get to me." Zach said

We all discussed the plan, we're gonna do it late tonight. Around one in the morning maybe? Not sure but it's going to be late.

"Bro what if this doesn't work?" Corbyn said tapping my shoulder

"It will." I said bluntly

Everyone looked at me in shock.

"It will." I repeated with the same cold tone.

Zach looked at me in a concerned way. I have to get out of this room, just go Dani, get some air. I walked out of the room and went upstairs to my parents room. Sitting down on the window still my dad built before he started up with his stupid actions again. My hands were holding my head. Until I heard someone come in.

"You okay love?" Ray asked

"Yeah" i lied

"I'm good"

"Stop lying, talk to me" She said as she sat next to me

"Just everything seems so fucking insane. I want everyone to be okay especially Zach. He's in deep shit and I just don't know if he can fix it his time" I said

"Hey hey hey, don't underestimate him okay? He will fix this mess, he always fixes it trust me" Ray said hugging me

Her comfort was nice, I've missed her so much too.

"Thank you" I whispered

"You're welcome"

"We're all thinking of watching something to kinda help soothe us, wanna join?" Ray asked standing up

"I'm gonna stay here, but I'll be fine" I flashed a half smile

She nodded her head and went out of the room. I took a deep breath and let out a sigh. This is gonna be a long ass night for sure. My eyes wandered to the moon just hanging with the bright beautiful stars.

"Hey.." someone's voice said

I turned to see Zach.

"Hey" I said trying to give a smile signaling that I'm okay

He came over and sat where Ray did. I kept my hands in my lap.

"I know you're scared and you want this all to end"

"But I need you to stay strong and trust me that this plan is going to work, hell if it's a plan from you it's definitely going to work" Zach added as he grabbed my hands

"Well I mean what can I say" I cracked a joke to hopefully brush it off

He laughed. "You're a goof"

"I am not" I denied

"Are so" he said

"Are not"

"Are so"

"Are not end on a period bitch" I replied

He laughed and kissed my forehead.

"You know I really love you" he added

"I really love you too"

He leaned over for a kiss. I went him and kissed him back. My thoughts were swarming my head, I fell for him, I'm in too deep at this point. I'm losing my shit. Please, everything is going to be okay, please. When we released we started to head back downstairs.

"We're ready"  Zach said to everyone

I changed into dark clothes and so did everyone else. Next we headed to the abandoned warehouse, where the gangs hideout was. As everyone arrived, I held Zach's hand tight.

"I'll be okay, trust me" He said by kissing me

I nodded my head as we watched Zach slip through the tiny entrance.

Zach's POV:

"I'm here" I yelled hearing my own voice echo

"Look who decided to finally pay off his debt" a familiar voice said

"Nick, I'm done with this gang bullshit okay? I'm out." I explained

"It doesn't work like that" He replied stepping out from the darkness

All his gang members popped out and grabbed my arms back.

"You think this is bullshit Herron?" Nick said pulling out a knife

Before I could answer he stabbed me right in the stomach, multiple times. Blood started gushing out of my wounds. They all started to kick and punch me. This was when I thought it was it for me. My thoughts were on my family, my friends, most importantly, Dani. I promised all of them that I'll fix this...and I'm losing right now.  Get up. Something in my head kept telling me to get up. They held me up again.

"Do you wanna pay off your debt now? Or do you need another refresher." Nick said holding the knife to my neck as he pressed down, causing a cut to form

"I think I'm good" I said reaching into someone's pocket to grab their knife.

I cut Nick's hand and stabbed the guys who were holding me down. My wounds were still gushing out, but I still ran to outside. All the gang members tried to get me again, but the police were swarming the building for no escapes.

"DROP YOUR WEAPON NOW" the policeman said holding his gun up to all of them

They all did as the police officer said. The police took them into custody, the gang was arrested and taken into the police cars. I hid behind the police cars but then limped over to where my friends could see me. Dani was the first one to see me. 

"Oh my god" She said running towards me

She engulfed me into a hug. 

"it's over" I whispered in her ear

Dani hugged me harder. I winced in pain.

"Shit bro we gotta get you to a hospital" Jonah said 

Daniel, Jack, Ray, and Zach picked me up and took me to the car. Jonah drove really fast, my head was resting in Dani's lap. She held my hand, my blood was gushing everywhere. We arrived at the hospital. 

"Please someone help!" Ray yelled out 

Doctors came running in and saw me all bloody. My vision was getting blurrier and blurrier at the second. 

"Zach it's going to be okay" Jack said in a worried tone

"Zach stay awake please, stay strong please" Dani added with tears forming in her eyes

The doctors lifted me onto a stretcher, blood still gushing everywhere. This was when the darkness took the light out of everything and everyone.
