It was lunch time,thanks God the maths lesson was over, I walked to the school cafeteria where student's were chatting to each other about most celebrities and the school's Mr and Miss know it all.
I picked my food and walked to my usual spot and began eating not minding other people's business, as I continued to enjoy my lunch I saw a tall girl walking towards my table and was shocked, who the hell does Ella think she is ,I pushed my plate to the side not wanting a conversation with one of the Miss know it all ,I stood and began my walk to class already filling satisfied with her presence.
" Hey Bel I thought I would join you for lunch?, but it seems you are on your way out so I will have lunch alone but I hope for tomorrow" and with that she sat at the table that was mine. What did this lady want to talk to me about cause she ain't the type to talk about girls talk with her looks.. I was interrupted when I stepped on someone's toes and was pushed back and fell on the ground and all students began laughing their lungs out
"Bel watch where you're going", I had a deep voice telling me which made me open my eyes and lift my head slightly to see our history teacher I stood and began apologising " am sorry sir Andrew next time I will watch where am going"
"Say sorry to yourself cause this calls for a detention " he said moving forward giving me a chance to stand and face my shame.
I was shocked to see Ella standing in front of him, how can she do this, every body feared sir Andrew making three quarter of the school hate history
"Sir Andrew Bel never wanted to step on your toes don't make a big deal out of it" she said giving a fake smile to Sir Andrew who turned back and looked at me "she doesn't look like she deserves it "
"a a am Sir Andrew she truly never meant to do it and you know it too please let it be " she spoke again and the teacher looked at her paving his way "OK fine the last time " and with that he went back to the office block without saying what brought him to the cafeteria.
"Hey Bel I guess we need to get out of here to reduce the tension" she said standing in front of me. I gave her a small smile,"thanks Ella"we moved out and went for the chemistry practicals that were held into he science lab. We had two more classes before the day was called a day and walked out of the school gate and saw Ella's car I waved at her and continued to walk cause I wasn't sure if I can face her again.
I saw her car speed and I knew the reason why no one ever drove with Ella, I laughed and continued walking to see the car reverse, did she truly like to break all the rules in the world.. "Hey want a ride home" she asked giving me a smile making me smile back and felt she was friendly after all "if you will lower your speed then yes" she grinned and accepted, I moved to the passenger's seat and sat comfortably at the leather seat next to her .
The drive was silent till we began the road to our home leaving me to wonder how does she know my route? "Bel give me your address?" Thank God she never knew the address too" Beeeel I asked for your address" I snapped out of my thoughts giving her the address which took a short while till we stopped to our packing "Thanks Ella for the ride I said picking my bag from the back," it was nice I wish to have a re run but on full speed", she said smiling at me making me shake my head with laughter, "if you want us to go six feet underground before the end of next week" she laughed and looked at me "OK I want an early death so see you tomorrow morning" and with that I went to our home that had three bedrooms a small kitchen,sitting room and of course the bathroom, I saw my mom crying in the kitchen and went back to check on her "hey mom am back," she got shocked as if she never realised my presence, wiping her tears she gave me a small smile that sent me to give her a tight hug then gave her space "thanks sweet heart " she stood and began walking to her bedroom and knew she never wanted to talk about it "OK mom when you need advice you know where to find your advisor she laughed and continued her way till she stopped to her bedroom" I never knew I was to have such a great advisor when I need her I will seek her"she smiled opened the door and went in. I walked in my bedroom showered and prepared dinner to my little brother as mom couldn't cook for us that day, we ate and went to sleep wondering what upset mom.
Next morning Ella drove home and picked me up for school, thou she was late to pick me her speed saved us from getting late to class making me hold my breath till we arrived school.
"Thanks for the ride once more but that speed is freaking hell " I turned moving for my first class which went on smoothly as if people never remembered my shame yesterday and I was glad for that .
The lessons moved on slowly mostly the last lesson to lunch which made my stomach grumble as I stroked towards the hall and Ella approached me "someone's hungry here " she said giving me a look and I knew I had to hurry all I will snap out due to my stomach.
We went for our food and sat at my table and continued eating as juniors tried to peep to see Mark flirting with Clara in the cafeteria out of all places, I shook my head and continued eating which made Ella to look and bursted out laughing "Those two love birds have quite a lot to learn " , she said looking at her food "yeah they need to learn where to do some stuff not everywhere " we continued eating and left for our next classes till evening.
"Bel" who the hell shouts peoples name I spanned to check Ella waving at me girl thou you are my new friend you ain't supposed to shout my name,,, what a new friend did I say that to myself I laughed shaking my head yeah we are new friends , I walked over towards her direction in the school parking and got to her car and we began our way home with a lower speed, thanks God she understood my fear.
Thou it continued for a long time in the evening she understood my fear and early in the morning she drove like a crazy woman running from hell and during lunch time we used to seat at my table and people got familiar to Miss know it all and Miss know nothing hang out together.
