"We will be here to welcome you back when you get here." Emily says with a smile and hugs me.
"Bye, Em, I'll see you in two weeks!" I say as I make my way to the plane's steps. I wait for North, who is still talking to Aaron and then wave goodbye to Aaron as I walk onto the plane in front of North. I sit in the fine leather seat next to him and relax as the plane takes off. "I didn't know the Royals owned so many private islands." I comment.
"Yes, but we don't go as often as you would think. It's a waste, if you think about it." North shrugs. "But it's the only safe places to vacation with so many rebel attacks. It's relaxing though."
"I'm excited." I say with a bright smile and lean my head on his shoulder. We had two weeks, nearly alone together. We had a cook and cleaned who would come once each day early in the morning and fix us food and clean the place up, but it was good enough for me.
"Me too." North murmurs and kisses my head. "Sleep if you'd like, we have a rather long flight and you'll be glad to be well rested when you have an entire island to explore."
"Are you sure?" I ask, unsure if I should fall asleep the second we are alone.
"Of course I am. Sleep, love, I'll wake you up when we get there." He puts a hand on on my own.
"Thank you." I respond with a soft smile as I let myself fall asleep.
It seemed like hours before I woke up again to the gentle tapping of North. I blink open my eyes as the plane finally drops to the ground.
"Are we there?" I ask drowsily as I sit up.
"Yes, we are." He responds and helps me stand up as the plane comes to a slow stop. "Are you ready?"
"Yeah." I nod and hold his hand tightly as we step off the plane. It was bright outside and it took me a minute to adjust before my eyes were met with paradise. Waves crashed on the sand only yards from me. "Wow."
"It's beautiful isn't it?" North asks quietly.
"Wow." I repeat with a small sigh of contentment. "Where's the house?"
"Follow me, I'll show you." North smiles and connects our arms. "It's not a long walk and our bags are already at the house."
"It's fine, I promise." I nod and follow him through the stone path that led us over the hill and to the beautiful beach house which settles peacefully next to the ocean. I squeeze his hand tightly and walk in with him, surprised by the homeliness and simplicity of the building.
I turn to him and hug him tightly, leaning my head against his chest.
"I love you." I whisper quietly and squeeze my eyes shut, taking a mental picture of my life now so I will never forget it.
"Love, you won't lose me." He says softly, running a hand through my hair. "I won't let it happen, I promise."
I don't answer and he just holds me tightly in return then kisses me.
"I love you too." North tells me and smiles. He takes my hand and brings it into both of our views, looking at the ring and showing it to me. "See this? This makes it all permanent. No matter how hard you try, you can't get rid of me." He smiles and kisses me again.
I laugh and pull away from him, still holding onto his hands.
"We'd better put our swimsuits on if we are to go out on the beach." I tell him and walk toward our room "I'll meet you outside, alright?"
"Alright, Love." He says and stays in our room while I go into the bathroom with my bathing suit in hand. I look around the beautiful marble bathroom and the closet which had a small selection of clothes that weren't mine still in it.
I change into my bathing suit and then step out of the bathroom, North nowhere in sight. I step outside on the patio and feel the soft breeze that the evening brought. I pull my hair out of the confinement's of the hairband and let it flow with the wind.
North grabs me from behind, catching me by surprise. I ended up just smiling and leaning back into him.
"Lets go out to the water." He says, taking me by my hand and taking me out to the waves. I'd never seen water so clear and beautiful before.
I held onto North and accepted the crashing of the waves into my side. I'd never felt happier.

Later that night, we lay in the soft King sized bed. I'd nearly fallen asleep already by the time North finally came to bed.
I turn to face him and bring myself closer to him.
"I love you." I whisper quietly as if somebody could hear us.
"I love you too." He responds and pushes a piece of my hair out of my face. A few minutes pass before he talks again. "When you got hurt during the rebel attack and I thought I'd lose you, I didn't know what to do. I couldn't imagine this with anyone else. You woke up and you didn't even remember me and I wasn't sure if you ever would."
"I would've fallen for you all over again." I tell him.
"I was just so scared." North sneaks his arm around me and holds me closely. "I knew I'd never be able to let you go after that. I decided then that I'd wait forever for you."
"Most people wouldn't have given me a chance, but you did and I will never stop loving you for that." I sit up slightly with him and hug him tightly. "I still don't know how you found me lovable."
"Why wouldn't I find you lovable?" North asks, confused.
"I'm broken, North. And even though you might not see it quite the same, but it's hard to love someone who is broken." I shrug and hide my face.
"Maybe you call yourself broken, but I've never seen someone more perfect." North kisses me again. "I love you, darling. Never call yourself unlovable again, you're insulting the love of my life."
"I love you too." I look up at him and smile. I laugh slightly and close my eyes.
"I want you to know that I will never stop loving you. I can't wait to live the rest of my life with you." He kisses me once more.
"It's going to be perfect." I respond softly.
And indeed, it was.
