All the sounds melded together as I started to regain consciousness. It sounded like there were sounds surrounding me everywhere and as if the noise would never stop.
My head started spinning, I opened my eyes to see where the noise was coming from but was met with darkness so I closed them again.
The noise finally stopped and everything immediately stilled, except for me. I felt as if I was away back and forth as if I were on a boat. The loud whining sound was now replaced by an engine.
I tried to move my hands up to my head as it was pounding as if someone had hit me in the head with a branch but they got caught. I tried hard to tug them free from whatever was holding them down but to no success.
I pulled extremely hard one more time and nearly cried out as I felt something cold dig into my wrists. I bit my tongue and started to shake my head back and forth, hoping to shake the material either higher or lower.
My hair was sticking up in so many places when I stopped. I swore I heard a door creak open, I swear I saw light for a second. But how would I know if it wasn't just my mind playing tricks on me?
I took a deep breath to calm myself and continued to furiously shake my head. My cheek stung. I sat there in shock. I now had zero doubts that someone was in here with me.
Thankfully the slap had dislodged my blindfold a little bit so at least now I could see something! I heard them moving around me in a calm and measured circle. Never breaking pace even once. I saw movement at the corner of my eye before the person quickly hurried over to me, all I heard was the quickened pace and an intake of breath as they approached.
They pulled my blindfold back on me and quickly checked my handcuffs. They sighed in relief once the person saw they were still on. I felt the handcuffs tightened and I gasped in pain, shifting a little in my my chair. I got slapped again from that movement.
"What the fuck?"
"Shut your mouth you pathetic Blue," I heard the hate in their voice... but they sounded so so familiar. What am I forgetting? Wait... did they say Blue? What does that mean?
"You'll get what's coming to you, just like it did with the rest of your people," their words came out like a snarl and I shrank back a small bit in fear.
"Why are you doing this to me?"
"Because those are my orders, you really think I'd put up with you for 12 years and not get anything out of it? You were a such a bossy snob and I have no idea at how your family tolerated you. Maybe that's why your actually parents got rid of you."
Tears sprang to my eyes as I finally recognised the voice, when I spoke my voice was shaking.
"W-why would you do this to me? I-I thought-"
"Exactly," he interrupted. "You thought.
The only reason I put up with your sorry ass was because I wanted to be the first one to watch the downfall of the Blues."
I tried to hold back my tears as I continued to talk with him."W-why do you keep saying 'the Blues'? What do you mean by that?"
Silence.
"No one told you?"
I shook my head. I heard him laugh slightly.
"You'll find out in time Jess... all in good time."
I scoffed and muttered as I heard the door open, "something and evil villain in a film would say."
The door remained open and there was still silence, he had either left and kept the door open or he was still there.
I felt my face get slapped again, my cheeks were really stinging now, and concluded that he was obviously still there.The door closed and darkness once again took over as I allowed the tears to finally be free. Why would he do this to me? The hell does he mean by 'the Blues'? Why, why me?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It pained me to do that. It may not have seemed like it but it really did. I would never had wanted to hurt Jess but he just has too much influence over everyone. I counted him as the enemy but he didn't know that, he still thought I was working on his side and wanting to kill the last Blue.
I closed the door, sighed and started walking walking around the ship with no destination in mind. I found myself at the back of the boat and stared at the land that was quickly being lost from sight. That was the place where the two of us became extremely close.
It was where she was sent after her memory was removed by the King and Queen. Even though she didn't remember anything... I still knew pretty much everything about her.
It wasn't in a weird, Stalker way. I just knew because it was my job to know. If I knew the outcome of what would happen when I accepted the job I probably wouldn't have taken it.
Guess it's too late to go back now.
There were a few things he didn't know though. The first being that I had feelings for Jess... okay well that he kinda did know but he just thought it was lust and nothing more.Second being that I was planning on her escape out of here, Jess may not trust me anymore but she would have to if she wanted out of this place.
The third and forth and actually quite similar, being that I knew there wasn't one, but three Blues still alive. One being Jess, the other was him himself and the final remaining Blue? Well... that was me.
And the forth? Let's just say that no ones really ready to hear the forth yet. When that bomb lands... the explosion will be huge.AUTHORS NOTE
We get a little insight to this mystery man and a few hints at who it might be, I have a feeling it might be more obvious than I'm thinking but oh well, I'll choose to remain oblivious. But either make your guesses as to who this man is!
And why does he keep saying that Jess is the last Blue? What does he even mean by that?
Well find out by continuing to read this book. Don't forgot to vote, comment and follow, have a good day everyone!
