Michael|| "Alright Goodnight." I say to Luke, climbing into bed and whipping out my phone, I dial Hailey's number. I lean back onto my pillow and she picks up on the first ring. "Hey." She says in a distant voice. "Hey." I say back equally as distant, the conversation dying just as quickly as it started. Neither one of us wanting to discuss me leaving, but not having a choice about it either way. There's a long pause and Hailey sighs before starting to talk again.

"So, LA tomorrow. You excited? I know I would be of I was going." She says, her words weighing on my mind like a ton of bricks. "Yeah, the lads and I can't wait to see the west coast. Its gonna be awesome, you could come with us you know." I say sighing some myself, knowing the fate of that suggestion. "Yeah right, my aunt needs me here. And besides you're going to be having too much fun being famous, you wouldn't want boring old me there." She says a twinge of sadness in her voice. "Hey, Hey. I don't care how famous we get I'm always going to want you around. And who said you were boring?" I say. I've never once thought she was boring.

"You mean it? I mean the part about wanting me around and I guess the boring part too." She says through sniffles, laughing some at the end. "Of course I mean it, the boring part too." I say smiling to myself, though I'm sure she can picture my grin. I picture hers every night that I'm not with her. "Thanks Mikey..." She says yawning softly. "Anytime Sev, Get some sleep okay? I'll see you at the airport." I say. "Okay, Night Mikey. See you in the morning." She says before yawning again.

We stay in that beautiful silence for a moment, listening to each other breathe as I imagine the rise and fall of her chest, the curves of her face, the small of her back where my palm fits, perfectly. I see her eyes, the warm chestnut brown with flecks of greens and golds. I feel her hands, the contrast between her soft; poised touch and my calloused grip. I trace the outline of her silhouette into the darkness. Not wanting to forget, the feel of her bare skin against mine. The fire in her heart that she dares to show me, her modest, yet inticing way of pressing her lips against my neck. Her voice, that sweet sing-song falsetto she uses when she's missed me. Her laugh, uncontrollable even at the worst of times, but comforting to hear at any hour. Her air that she fills the room with, everytime she walks in, the air that fuels my happy heart. Lastly, her smile, the smile that I wake up just for the hope seeing. The smile that was missing one tooth until the 6th grade. The smile that went through braces and retainers, only to stay slightly crooked. The beautiful, imperfect smile that I'd trade my life to ensure. I hold on now more than ever, so when I miss her, long for her in my absence, all I have to do is close my eyes. Then shes with me in my dreams, more vibrant and alive than ever fathomable. For that brief moment we hold onto each other, every fiber, every part we'll miss. Neither of us willing to admit that everythings going to change, but both of us knowing it will. After some time we drift off into dreamlands filled with the memories, the sounds of the other. We hold on not yet realizing, for in our dreams we love with an undying; unyielding love, that neither one of us has yet to understand.
