Johanna's POV
We both just stood there kind of awkwardly until Gale finally got the message.
"Can I stay at your place?"
I continue to stare at him waiting for him to add on.
He rolls his eyes,"Please."
"Well since you asked so nicely I suppose so," I answer.
He dumps all of his stuff by the door then just stands there awkwardly.
"You can sit down you know."
"Oh yea um thanks."
I pick up the remote control and start flipping channels. Most of the time the only thing on is past hunger games, but occasionally you will catch a soap opera with capitol people with no acting skills. Gale yells for me to stop when I past a certain soap opera "Love in the woods."
"You watch this crap," I ask dumbfounded.
"Yes and its not crap, it's quality tv."
"Didn't know you were such a lover boy, I say teasingly.
His expression hardens," Never call me a lover boy, he somewhat jokingly.
"Ok ok sorry gosh,I say playing right along.
"Can you please be quiet, I'm trying to watch the show."
"Um excise me Gale, you may not realize it, but this is my house, I do what I want."
Your right, he says," I have no right to tell you what to do especially in your own home."
"Its fine, but tell me why do you have a problem with me calling you lover boy?"
"It's a story for another day, he says patting the couch next to him, come and watch the show with me."
"Ok but I'm gonna go make some popcorn."
Five minutes later
I plop down on the couch next to him with a bowl of popcorn in my hands.
"Ok so what's the plot," I ask.
"Well right now those two girls are on the hunt for their criminal brother."
"Ooo so is this like a suspenseful show."
"Not really, it's more of a love story than anything, see her brother actually killed one of the girls husband and now he's hunting for the other girls husband,"he says.
"Why is he hunting their husbands?"
"Well he blames them for the death of his wife."
I stare at him for a while until he notices.
"What, he asked.
"Nothing I just didn't know you were in to this kind of stuff."
"It's actually pretty interesting once you get into, he says defendingly.
"I imagine it is."
