We are the teens,
The phone zombies,
The unwilling and unwanted.
This is all wrong,
But some people think we're all like this.
Some of us have seen unimaginable things...
School shootings.
Climate change.
Mental issues.
Body shaming.
The list goes on.
But in truth,
We will lead the way,
In the future.
And we will have to repair
The damage caused by previous generations.
'Fake news',
Elsagate,
The threat of nuclear war.
You're putting it all into our hands.
The question is, how do we deal with it?
Some will hide their scarred hearts,
By scarring the hearts of others.
Some will drown out the world,
Some will try and be open about their problems...
And others... will destroy themselves.
You see, we aren't
The phone zombies,
The unwilling and unwanted.
We are a generation of scarred hearts.
And we will stand for ourselves...
No matter how hard it may be.
