I ran away to avoid Chaesuk who was chasing me all the way home. I unlocked the door and ran to the kitchen. Chaesuk ran inside and slipped on the floor. I laughed at him.
"It's not funny!" he yelled. I laughed even louder and grabbed my stomach. "Oh, come on you had to see your face," I said while helping Chaesuk with getting up. We walked towards the kitchen and unpacked the groceries. Then we hear the front door unlock.
"Dad is home..."
Chaesuk grabbed my arm and pulled me towards the back door. "Why are we leaving?" I asked. "I don't have to see that man's face for now," he said. His expression changed and he pulled me to our treehouse. We climbed inside and sat on the beanbags.
"Are you okay?" I asked him. Chaesuk looked furious and I didn't want to make him more mad. "Yeah I am fine," he said through gritted teeth.
I gulped.
I have not seen Chaesuk this mad since he got sent away. I walked over to him and gave him a back hug. He started to calm down and let his hair cover his face.
"Sorry..." he mumbled. "It's okay Sook," I said. He flicked his hair out of his face and stood up. "Do you want something to drink?" he asked me. I nodded and he threw a bottle of banana milk at me. "Thanks!"
"Wait... Chae do you still have the connection with those cameras in the house?" Chaesuk asked. "Ehh I guess so, why?" I asked while drinking my banana milk. "I want to see what dad is doing in there," Chaesuk said.
I stood up and opened a small cabinet. There was a laptop that is connected to the security camera's that I installed. We waited for it to turn on. I looked over to Chaesuk and saw that he was focused on the laptop screen.
I clicked on a few buttons and we could see the camera footage. Chaesuk took the laptop and started searching for our dad. After a while, he found him in his study room. But he was not alone. A woman in her early twenties stood next to him.
"Who is she?" Chaesuk and I asked at the same time. We kept staring at the screen.
Was he cheating on mom?
When the woman stroke his back and leaned in I closed the laptop. "Why did you do that!" Chaesuk yelled.
"I don't want to see it..." I said softly while walking to the window. Chaesuk grabbed my arm and pulled me in a hug. "It's okay," Chaesuk said. "Don't worry..."
A ringtone that I haven't heard for a long time started ringing through the room. Chaesuk let go of me and searched for his phone. While he was talking on the phone, I grabbed mine and unlocked it. I got a few messages from our school group chat and from Saejin. I opened the group chat first.
Hyuk: GUYS
Kyungil: What do you want?
Hyuk: I have news!
Yuri: What kind of news?
Kwontae: Is it important?
Hyuk: Well for the people who interacted with him it is but for the people who didn't it's not
Nikki: Who are you talking about?
Hyuk: Well...
Me: Chaesuk is back!
Hyuk: Chaerin!
Hyuk: Why did you do that!
Hyuk: I wanted to say that!
Me: Whoops :)
Hyuk: Well Chaesuk is back
Seheun: Oh my gosh! Really?!
Yuri: You're reading it aren't you
Seheun: Just shut up Yuri
Seheun: My oppa is finally back
Me: He's not your oppa
Me: And you don't even know him
Seheun: Of course I do
Me: Do you know anything about his siblings?
Seheun: Yes of course!
Seheun: I'm best friends with his sister!
Hyuk: Who's gonna tell her?

Yuri: She came to this school a few months before he left

I started laughing. "Why are you laughing?" Chaesuk asked me. "Seheun says that she is best friends with your sister, but she doesn't know it's me," I said while laughing again. Chaesuk rolled his eyes and started laughing too.
