"Fine, only for you Hermione." Ginny said, and Harry and Ron agreed. Hermione had just encouraged them to try to be civil and have a conversation with Serpen. She was currently leading them to the head boy/girl common room to meet Serpen.
Hermione had tricked Serpen into waiting for her in the common room, but she had an inkling Serpen already knew what was going on. That was something she envied about Serpen. He was always so in control and calm.
Hermione muttered the password and entered the common room, were Serpen was laying on the couch. Even relaxed he looks poised hermione thought.
Seeing as it was saturday, he wasn't wearing his usual uniform and the others were surprised to find he was wearing muggle clothes - black jeans, and a button down white shirt, in which the top 3 were unbuttoned, revealing the top part of his ivory pale chest, at which Ron was surprised to see had toned muscle.
"Good morning Serpen." Hermione greeted, and Ginny, Harry, and Ron were surprised that Hermione had called Serpen by his first name; ron mostly jealous.
"Morning, Granger." Serpen responded, slinging his leg over the couch, and sitting up properly.
"This is Harry, you probably already know him, and this is Ginny, Ron's sister and Harry's girlfriend. And this is Ron." Hermione introduced.
"her girlfriend," Ron added, slinging his arm around Hermione's shoulders and Hermione nodded in agreement.
"Riddle." Serpen greeted, holding his hand out to shake, which Ron blatantly refused, while Ginny seemed to eye Serpen's hand fearfully, and Harry looked at Serpen skeptically.
"Oh for goodness' sake!" Hermione exclaimed, and sat everyone down.
"So Serpen's going to be tutoring me on Pureblood views and traditions." Hermione spoke.
"What! Why? You don't need to know Pureblood traditions. That's old stuff not used anymore. It could taint your mind too!" Ron commented.
"Yes, but I want to know both sides of the war, and I might be the only one able to listen to Serpen clearly, because all of you sort of have a biased against slytherins and voldemort." Hermione explained.
"Obviously! Voldemort was the most feared wizard of all time, and he came from slytherin! Along with Grindewald, Lucius Malfoy, Bellatrix, and practically every other death eater!" Ron responded, and Hermione sighed exasperatedly.
While Ron and Hermione quarreled, Ginny had decided to face her fear, and start a conversation with Serpen, which Harry soon joined in to.
~~~ 30 mins later
While Ron and Hermione continued their disagreement and fighting, Ginny, Harry, and Serpen had found themselves in a pleasant conversation - not too personal, but enough to get to know eachother.
"So what do you aspire to be? I want to be a professional quidditch player." Ginny said.
"I have no doubt you can achieve your goal. I've seen you in the air." Serpen responded.
"Thanks, so what do you want to be?" Ginny asked again, flattered at the complement.
"I don't know." Serpen said, shrugging. "It's not like anyone would want to hire me, no matter how good my scores are, and how flattering the professors' recommendations are. Even if I don't have a single scratch on my criminal record, being Voldemort's son is criminal enough."
"I'm sorry to hear that." Harry sympathized.
"What do you wish for?" Serpen asked.
"I want to be an Auror." Harry responded.
Harry, Ginny, and Serpen continued their smooth, idle conversation, each feeling safer to talk with the other as the conversation went on.
"Bloody hell Ron!" Hermione exclaimed, finally turning her attention away from Ron. She was surprised to see her other two friends getting along fairly well with Serpen. And Serpen looked remarkably handsome with his shoulder length black hair swept back, his mysterious grey eyes glimmering in the light of the morning, and his white shirt unbuttoned for the top three, exposing... Hermione shook herself out of her thoughts, wondering what she was thinking. Her boyfriend was right in front of her!
Ron followed her stare, and his jaw dropped. Ginny and Harry were having a civilized conversation with Serpen.
Nonetheless, under Hermione's influence, albeit hesitantly, Ron joined the conversation.
An hour later, Ginny had to go to a study session with Luna.
"Alright! Thank you so much for trying to get along!" Hermione thanked, and Harry and Ginny nodded, smiling faintly then exiting the head dorm. Ron lingered.
"Do you need anything Ron?" Hermione asked, confused.
"Do I get a goodbye kiss?" Ron asked, pouting. Hermione laughed, though it was fake and she was slightly annoyed inside, and kissed him lightly, then telling him she had to work.
"And Serpen, can you give me my first lesson on pureblood traditions tomorrow?" Hermione asked.
"Very well." Serpen responded, getting up and about to exit the door, but then turning around and saying, "as long as you find and return my possession back to me before then."
And Hermione scowled, having hoped Serpen had forgotten about her end of the deal. She would have to find that possession soon. But what could Harry possibly own that actually rightfully belonged to Serpen?
"Wait!" Hermione cried, before Serpen walked out the door.
"Yes?" Serpen inquired.
"Help me." Hermione begged.
"Very Well. I will give you a hint. Only one, and only once." Serpen answered, and Hermione nodded furiously, desperate for a hint.
"Horcruxes." Serpen commented lightly, then walked out the door.
