During the hour and a half, I didn't even touch a single word document or any scholarly websites in order to finish my homework or complete any further research on my studies. No, instead, Asher forced me to watch ridiculous Youtube videos of cats screaming and related videos to that. In the past hour and a half, I had learnt Asher's family name was Torres and he had graduated from a private university that allowed him to find a job in the business department with his friends. They were practically inseparable. Brothers, even.

By the time we were on the last video, Asher and I had been bullying a cat we had found online as we had tried really hard to keep our laughter in but that had only costed us in getting kicked out of the library.

"So, where do you usually go after your classes?" Asher asked, walking beside me with his hair dishevelled from the slight wind when we had walked out of the double doors.

"Usually, I'd pick up a guy and go home with him," I answered, glancing to the side at Asher who looked at me with uncertain eyes. I couldn't help but chuckle at his torn expression on whether he should've believed me or not. "I'm kidding."

"How about dinner with me?" Asher questioned slowly as if asking me out to dinner was a mistake.

I clicked my tongue and shrugged. "I can't, I have this thing to do at home." I didn't know why I was lying to him but it looked like I needed to have a thing to do at home now.

Asher's eyebrows slightly frowned before brushing it off as he nodded in understanding. "Okay, I'll take you home then."

You know what they say about a gentleman. The devil was and always are a gentleman.

When Asher parked my car in the driveway, he slipped out of it and threw me the keys, nodding in approval when I caught them in one move before stalking away towards his house. Two other cars were absent so that had meant that Cato and Eli were still out.

I jiggled my key into the lock before turning it and I couldn't help but look over at Asher who was standing on the porch with his hands inside his pockets, staring off into the world.

"You don't have a spare key?" I asked out loud, capturing Asher's attention as he turned his head to me and nodded.

I sighed. "I guess I'll take you up on that dinner offer."

I heard Asher's footsteps near as I walked inside my house, leaving the door open before placing my backpack on the sofa then headed towards the kitchen. The sound of the door closing greeted my ears as Asher awkwardly stepped inside, his chocolate brown eyes observing my small home.
