The plane landed in Florida at around midnight, and by that point Josh was absolutely exhausted. The same couldn't be said for Oliver, who was practically bouncing off the wall of the airport."Let's just get to the hotel so that we can sleep." Josh huffed, dragging Oliver through the hotel by his wrist. Oli struggled to keep up with the older mans fast pace, wiggling around to try and get out of Josh's grasp.
"Noo Josh, can't we go exploring for a bit? I'm not even tired and I'm hungry." Oliver whined like a child. Josh rolled his bloodshot eyes and rubbed his tense face with his empty hand. Oliver gaped at the feeling of warm air hitting his face as they exited the airport, not having time to comment on the humid temperature as Josh pulled him across the street and into a taxi.
"The Ritz-Carlton hotel please." Josh said to the taxi driver, who nodded before pulling off the curb and beginning to drive to their requested destination.
"Josh-"
"Shut up Oliver, I'm tired and I want to get to the hotel so that I can sleep." Josh moaned.
Oliver crossed his arms over his chest and pouted like a puppy. "But I'm hungry." He whined.
"Then you can order room service when we get there." Josh snapped. He leant back into the plush leather seats of the taxi cab and closed his eyes. He felt his body relax as he blocked out the sound of Oliver's voice whining at him.
The world around him became more distant as he fell into a light sleep. His breathing became even again and his heart rate slowed down until it was nothing more than a steady beat in the background of his mind.
"Joshie I missed you so much, never leave me again." Oliver whispered in his ear as the younger boy consumed him in a tight hug.
"Oli, I was only away for a couple of days." Josh chucked back. The younger boy tightened his grip around Josh's shoulders. Josh sighed into Oliver's hair and kissed his curly locks gently.
When they finally pulled back from their embrace, Josh noticed two very odd things. Number one; they were standing in a house he had never seen before, it looked like the kind of house a family would live in. Number two; Oliver looked a couple years older. His hair was a lot longer now, curling around his neck in messy strands. His eyes looked older too, with slightly more smile wrinkled embedded under them and a more mature look within his brown irises. Instead of being the lanky Oliver he knew, the man in front of him was well built, with obvious muscles bulging out from under his grey t-shirt.
"Yeah well it's still too long to be away from your husband." Oliver sighed. Josh frowned in confused and looked down at his left hand to see he was in fact wearing a white gold wedding ring. He ran his fingers softly against the metal band, liking the way it felt cold against his hot hand. Who was he married to though?
"Wha-"
"Daddy!" A high pitched voice shouted as they ran up to Josh and hugged his legs. He looked down at the little boy, confused once again. He had blue eyes like Josh and long curly hair with freckles. Was this his son?
"This little monkey has been missing you like mad." Oliver smiled as he picked up the little boy. The child giggled as Oliver lightly tickled his stomach. Oliver noticed the confused look on Josh's face and put the little boy back on the floor, telling him to go wait for them in the living room.
Oliver then grabbed Josh's wrist and led him through into the houses kitchen. It was pretty fancy, with marble countertops and all. Josh noticed that there were multiple children's drawings stuck on the fridge door, probably by the little boy he had just met.
