Dark's POV

"Shadow? Where did you go, Princess?" I called out around the house, looking for my stealthy two-year-old. Shadina 'Shadow' Kassidy Fischbach was born to me and Melody on October 13 two years ago and I couldn't believe just how much she's grown since then. Because she's a quarter Transmonian, Shadow grows at a different rate than Human children. At seven months she looked five years old, and she hadn't grown since then and she wouldn't grow again until just after she turned six.

But now we were playing hide-and-seek, and Shadow was scary good at the game. She could hide for a couple days straight if she wanted. Which is why it was so important that I find her; Melody would be pissed if she had to track down our daughter again.

"Sweetheart, please come out. Mama's going to be really angry if I can't find you again."

"That's not how you play the game, Daddy. You gotta find me," She giggled telepathically.

"Can I have a hint?" I asked. Total radio silence. I guess I can't have a hint. Fifteen minutes later, I found my daughter in the kitchen pantry, hiding among noodle packets.

"You found me, Daddy!" She giggled, jumping into my arms. I chuckled holding her tight.

"And not a moment too soon; Mama, Anti and Seth are back."

"Seth!" She said, her eyes lighting up. I put her down and she bolted to the door.

"Hi, baby! Was you a good girl?" Melody asked, picking Shadow up.

"Daddy and I played hide-and-seek!" Sadow giggled.

"And he found you?" Anti asked.

"Problem with that?" I asked, glaring at him.

"Play nice boys," Melody scolded, before taking both Shadow and Seth to the kitchen for lunch.

Anti's POV

"What're you up too, buddy?" I asked my son who was happily playing on the floor.

"Playing cars. Wanna play, Papa?"

"I'd love too," I smiled softly, popping a squat and picking up a toy car. Seth Keegan McLoughlin was born to me and Melody on July 13 a year ago and I seriously couldn't believe just how much he's grown since then. Because he is a quarter Transmonian, just like Shadow, Seth grows at a different rate than Human children. Seven months ago, he looked five years old; it was jarring to remember that he was just over a year old.

"You roped Papa into playing cars, did you baby?" Melody asked, leaning against a wall, watching Seth and I.

"Hi, Mommy!" He grinned, starting to glitch.

"Easy, bud," I giggled, placing a hand on his shoulder to help steady him.

"Sorry..." He said sheepishly.

"You'll get the hang of it one day," Melody smiled, taking a spot on the floor between my son and I, placing him in her lap.

"Really?" He asked, eyes wide.

"We can practice later, ok?" I promised

"I just don't want to shock Shadow again. She's scary when she's mad."

"You're already getting better, buddy. But it is nap time, you and Papa can practice after that, ok?" Melody said and Seth nodded his head vigorously. Melody stood up, balancing our boy on her hip, grabbed my hand and led us to Seth's room where we proceeded to put him down for a nap.

"I don't want him to get any bigger," I admitted after Melody and I left our sleeping son.

"I know. And he won't for a while. But there will come a day when he does start growing again," Melody said, cupping my cheek. I leaned into the gesture and sighed.

"I know, I just don't want to lose him."

"The two of you have a bond that's unbreakable. He'll always come back, no matter how mad he gets. You two are two peas in a pod," She chuckled, placing a quick kiss to my lips. She turned and made her way to our room.

"If you say so."

"I do say so," She answered, opening the door. Dark was on the bed, reading, and ignored us.

"Where's Shadow?" I asked, realizing I hadn't seen her anywhere.

"We put her down for a nap before I found you and Seth," Melody said, sitting on the bed, leaning on Dark's shoulder.

"So we got, what, an hour before they wake up?" Dark asked, putting his book down.

"Roughly, yes," Melody answered.

"Then let's not waste it," I grinned, making my way down to the dungeon.

Melody's POV

I loved going to the park with my little family. Shadow and Seth got along pretty well, making up little adventures as they played on the playground equipment. I watched them play and sighed in content.

"Something wrong, Amica mea?" Dark asked.

"Quite the opposite. Everything is perfect. And I have you two to thank for that."

"You don't have to thank us for loving you, Melody," Anti said, wrapping a loving arm around my waist.

"Except I do. Because of you two, I have two beautiful kids and two amazing Mates and husbands who love me even when I'm being a mega-bitch. Damn, everything good in my life comes in twos. Two brothers, two sisters who don't despise my existence, two familiars, and now two husbands and two kids. So thank you for loving me as much as you do. I know that can't be easy and I don't know what I'd do without the both of you."

"It's not, but you're more than worth it. And as for what you'd do without us, you would do what you were doing before us. You are completely capable to do whatever you want," Dark said, placing a hand on my knee.

"And we made you a promise, Angel. The only difference is that now it's the five of us instead of the three. The five of us will be happy and together forever, even if there is some distance between us," Anti assured me, placing a kiss to my forehead.

"You boys promise?" I asked.

"We promise," Dark said, smiling softly.

"Incoming," Anti said, his eyes flicking to our two young kids who were making a b-line toward us.

"Mama! Mama!" Shadow said just before stopping in front of me.

"What Lovebug?"

"Seth and I were wondering if we could get ice cream before we go home."

"Sure we can. Now go play, we have about an hour before we have to leave," I answered, giving both of them a kiss on the head before they left.

"We really got lucky, didn't we?" I asked, watching both my kids playing.

"You have no idea," Dark said.

"Hey, Melody?"

"Yeah, Anti?"

"I love you."

"I love you too," I said, placing a quick kiss to his lips.

"I love you so much," Dark said, picking me up and putting me on his lap. I squealed and slapped his arm playfully.

"And I love you, you overgrown child," I giggled, before kissing him. Yes, I loved going to the park with my little family. Shadow and Seth would play happily together and I would get to spend time with my Mates, even if they acted like our toddlers. But, in all honesty, I couldn't love all four of them any more than I already did. And I truly was, the girl followed by Demons. And I couldn't be happier about it.
