Chapter 21

I was asleep when the nurse came in with my beautiful baby girl. James tapped my shoulder and I woke up. I saw James smiling, I saw the doctor, and I remembered where I was. I saw the nurse walk over to me with a little pink blanket in her arms with a baby in it. my baby. I liked the sound of that. my baby. the nurse handed her over to me. my baby was asleep but her tiny mouth was smiling. "what should we name her?" I asked James. "your pick." he said. "I'm naming her... Amanda!" "any questions?" The nurse asked me. "yes. where is my mom and James's aunt?" I asked. "Well their out in the waiting room with a surprise!" The nurse told us. I got out of the hospital bed, with Amanda in my arms, and Amanda, James, and I walked to the waiting room when all we heard was.... "SURPRISE!!!!" "Shhhh! Amanda is sleeping." everyone said sorry and they all whispered, "surprise!" there was pink everywhere. there was a pink sign that said "welcome to the world!" everyone I knew from school was here, my teachers and all the students I knew except Carter because I hate him. after the party I was tired so I went to James's house and put Amanda in her crib. "we have one more surprise!" James said. he led me to the guest bed room and opened the door. all my stuff from my mom's house was in there. "what's all this?" I asked. "this is your new room in your new house." I hugged James and then we went to bed.
