Is there any other soul
that you know
who is as allergic
to a frown on your forehead
or pays as much attention
to your facial reactions
or to whom your smile means happiness?
Is there any other soul that you know,
who is always searching
the depths of your eyes
for the faintest signs of sorrow,
or who analyses the tone of your voice
for the slightest pitch of worry
amongst the treble of routine noises?
Is there any other soul you know
any other soul
who knows that knuckle cracking
is not just your habit
but a reaction to the fears and Paranoia
that surround you
or who can understand the words
that hide behind your deafening silence?
And if there is no other soul
None at all
then know that the reason I care
for the way the curve of your lips turns
Is because I am like
no other soul you know.
