And all the roads that lead you there were winding

and all the lights that light the way were blinding

there are anythings that I would like to say to you but I don't know how.

The words rang through the stereo in my car, I had turned up the bass so we were really bumpin'. I flipped on my lights since it was getting darker by the second. As I pulled into the small town in which I lived, I noticed there were very few people out. Not that there were many ever out past 7pm but it seamed fewer than usual. I hit the breaks as I neared the street I wanted to turn onto. The sun was just setting and It was beautiful to watch happen right in front of me, even if it did burn my eyes. The song ended and not much later the next song flipped on, another one I knew by heart.

"When I'm gone-" I sang just barely hitting the first note. I had never fully comprehended the shear mass of Freddie Mercury's vocal range until I came across this song, It was entitled Too Torriatte. It might sound like a weird name for a song which I send to agree, but It was so hauntingly beautiful. I pulled into the drive of my small one story house and hopped out of the car. I had been working since the age of 16 to save up for a house and a car, and here I was at 25 standing in front of a newly bought house with the last load of boxes in my ca. It was quite cold outside being that It was September, the 4th to be exact. I grabbed the keys to the house and spend the trunk grabbing a box. I stood at the door and unlocked it, box on hip I walked in. I flipped the switch illuminating the living room. The previous owners had left their furniture behind being that it wouldn't quite work in their new house. I placed the box down and walked back outside to grab another. I had all but two inside when the sun finally quit on me plunging the earth into darkness, save the lamps lighting the sidewalks. I finally managed to get all the boxes in at around 7:30ish. I set them in there desired rooms, unboxing a few. I was just getting ready to set up camp in the living room when I heard a knock at the door. It was quiet, I wouldn't have been able to hear it if I hadn't stopped wrestling with the air mattress merely moments before. I got up and opened the door, there stood a man around my age.

"Hi! I'm Asher," He said with a wave and a smile.

"Elizabeth," I said reaching out my hand to him. He took it and instead of shaking he turned it slightly, bent over and kissed the back of my hand. If there is anything you should know about me it is that I am awkward, and not like the cool awkward, no awkward awkward, and its not fun. So lets just say this gesture was little ways out of my comfort zone. As Asher stood back up My cheeks flushed with embarrassment.

"Nice to meet you Elizabeth," He said I could clearly tell he had an accent, what It was I wasn't sure but compared to my very boring midwestern American one, it sounded beautiful.

"You too," I said pulling my hand from his grasp. We stood there for a bit just staring at each other, and for an awkward person this is truly traumatizing. I cleared my throat. "So, um, Asher, Why did you come over to my house exactly?" Asher snapped out of whatever trance he had been under.

"Right, I wanted to say Hi, but I didn't have a chance earlier. Also, I wanted to ask you wanted to go on a trip,"

"A trip?" I asked I was very confused "we've only just meet."

"Yes, but it will be fun I promise, and You'll get to Know me a bit." I was still stunned. Finally I mustered up the courage to speak again."

"Yeah sure, why not."

"Great! Well, um, have a nice night." He said slowly backing odd of the porch.

"You as well," I said as I slowly shut the door. I watched Asher cross the street and walk into what I would only assume was his own house from the big bay window of the living room. the air mattress that laid in the middle of the floor, half full of air, was calling me and I was more than happy to oblige. As the mattress filled with air I opened one of the boxes containing my bedding and dispersed it around the room. The mattress was now almost completely full so I quickly turned off the pump and closed the vent. The sheets slid on easily and I was ready for bed. I laid my head down on the pillows I had thrown atop the mattress and quickly found myself a lot more tired than I had been mere moments ago. My eyes ached as I was more than ready to sleep. Soon thats all I seemed to know.
