It was a dark, gloomy, rainy day, and Nico couldn't have been happier. Because of the weather, he was hoping that a certain sunny blonde wouldn't attempt to coax him outside to 'get some sunshine'.

So far, his assumption seemed to be correct, as he had been happily curled up in his sheets, reading a book the whole morning.

Just to be sure, Nico checked his bedside clock, placing his bookmark and setting it all down.

Reading the time, he breathed a contented sigh. It was 11 am, no way that Will would show up now. He usually showed up at 8, maybe 9 am at the latest.

The son of Hades was about to go back to his book when knocking started coming from his door.

Letting out a loud groan of frustration, Nico abandoned his warm bundle of blankets to tell off whoever was at the front of his cabin.

Flinging open the door, Nico was immediately hit with a cold wind, and a figure moved past him into the cabin, closing the door shut right after.

Taken aback by the suddenness of the intruder, the black haired boy stumbled, and would have fallen over, if it wasn't for the warm arms now encasing him.

"We've really got to stop meeting like this, Death Boy." Came the melodious voice of the one and only, Will Solace, followed by a chuckle that made tingles race down the back of Nico's neck.

Honestly, everything about the son of Apollo seemed to be melodious. The way he spoke was melodious, the way his golden hair settled was melodious, even the way that he was holding Nico right then was melodious.

At this thought, the son of Hades realized that he was being swan dipped by William freaking Solace and promptly dropped out of his arms onto the floor, squeaking.

"Oh my gods Nico, are you okay? I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to drop you, you just kind of slipped out of my arms- are you hurt?" Will immediately started fussing over Nico, his doctor side mixing with his natural concern.

Swatting away one of Will's hands that was checking his arm that hit the floor the hardest, Nico stood up and quickly did a mental check over on himself, all the while glaring at the sunny boy.

"I'm fine." Nico finally spat, his mental assessment concluding that he was, in fact, fine.

Will flinched slightly at the bite of Nico's words, and the son of Hades suddenly felt bad.

So, trying to lighten up the mood, Nico tried changing the subject.

"Uh, so, what are you doing here anyway, Sunshine?" Nico offered, the nickname accidentally rolling off his tongue as an endearment and making the black haired boy cringe.

Luckily, the blonde didn't seem to notice any of this, and his blue eyes lit up.

"Oh! Right. So, I was thinking, that since it isn't really great to go outside right now, we could stay inside and, I dunno, play some games!" Will said, getting more and more excited as he was talking until he was bouncing on the balls of his feet.

Nico opened his mouth to reject the offer, then made the mistake of looking into Will's eyes.

The hopeful gleam in his sky blue eyes instantly broke Nico's resolve, and the son of Hades found himself nodding his head and saying "Okay, that sounds cool."

Coming to his senses after the words left his mouth, Nico almost facepalmed.

'Since when did I become so soft for Will? He's just a friend, I've said no to friends before, so why can't I say no to Will?' Nico thought angrily, although the fluttery feeling in his heart seemed to answer his questions. The son of Hades decided to ignore that, instead paying attention to Will's reaction to his answer.

The son of Apollo seemed to get impossibly more excited, now literally hopping in the spot.

"Really? Great! So, um, do you know any games you would like to play?" Will asked, sitting down on Nico's bed, one of his legs bouncing up and down energetically.

Looking at the sight of the blonde, Nico had the urge to laugh and wrap him up in a hug all at the same time. Honestly, Will could act really innocently childish sometimes, but Nico just found it endearing.

"Well," Nico started, then stopped and frowned.

He realized that he didn't actually know many games, all the old games he used to play with Bianca as a kid forgotten, and all the games from this era different and new.

Sitting down next to Will, Nico gave up on coming up with a game and sighed, turning to Will.

"I don't really know any games. Do you have any in mind?" Nico asked, twiddling his thumbs nervously.

He didn't really know why he was nervous, there was nothing to be nervous about. Maybe it was just the thought of learning a new game, and possibly stuffing up in front of Will.

'Not that what Will thinks of me is important.' Nico added to his thoughts, quickly expelling anything that surfaced weird feelings.

Will leaned forward on one arm, placing his head atop his other hand and chewing his bottom lip in thought.

Of course, Nico ended up only paying attention to Will's lips, how plush they looked when Will bit on it, how red they went when he released it, and what beautiful shapes they formed when he was moving them...

"Uhh, Nico? Hello? Earth to Nico, can you hear me?" Will started waving his hand in front of Nico's face.

Nico finally realized what he was doing and snapped out of it, blushing slightly.

"Um, sorry, I must've zoned out." He explained, twiddling his thumbs again.

"That's okay. So did you actually hear anything I said?" Will smirked.

The blush on Nico's face deepened.

"N-no."

Nico wanted to throw himself out the window right then and there. Stuttering, seriously??

The smirk on Will's face grew, though Nico didn't quite know why.

"Well, I was suggesting that we play 'Never have I ever'." Will said.

Nico blinked.

"Sorry, uh, I don't know how to play that game. Could you teach me?" Nico muttered.

Will didn't miss a beat.

"Sure! So, pretty much, we both start with a certain amount of points. We'll go ten points since this is your first time playing. Anyway, you count your points on your fingers."

Will wiggled his fingers for show and then continued.

"We take turns saying something that we haven't done before, like 'Never have I ever ridden a pegasus before' or something like that. If the other player has never done that thing before either, you lose a point. But if the other player has done that thing before, they lose a point. The game continues until someone has lost all their points."

Will finished, and Nico sat there for a second, simply computing the information.

"Ookay, I think I understand. Just, uh, correct me during the game if I get anything wrong."

Will nodded happily and adjusted his sitting position so that he was properly facing Nico, mimicking his cross legged position.

"I'll go first, since you haven't played before. Never have I ever..."
