A/N: Okay, this will be the first thing i post here and it was the first bit of poetry i ever published, hope you like it and, although it is a bit depressing, I promise that i will publish less depressing stuff.

She peered into the darkness,

The darkness peered back,

Eyes searched her soul,

Burning pitch black,

Hands clutched her heart,

Spreading her life’s tale,

The beating of her heart,

Never to fail.

Cold whisper in her ear,

Like nails on a board,

Heart clenched with fear,

As the figure moved forward,

Slender fingers cupped her chin,

Scraped her throat with black nails,

The beating of her heart,

Never to fail.

Lank hair brushed her neck,

Greasy and thick,

Wet tongue licked her cheek,

Slimy and slick,

Cruel teeth on her shoulder,

Harsh bites to her skin,

Smooth promises of love,

Words paper thin,

Silky tears down her face,

Small whispers and sobs,

Denials of denials,

As her heart throbs,

And her heart keeps beating,

 Beating through her chest,

The beating of her heart,

Beats until death.
