Chapter 7

After we finished our meal. Caleb insisted to pay but I would let him so we split the bill. Right before we left Caleb offered to drive me home.

"Miss Nix James will you give me the honor of letting me take you home?" He's such a gentlemen.

"I'm sorry but I bought my car with me, so no."

"Oh come on Nix well then how about let's go for a walk in the park?"

"Fine but I need to get in bed by 9:00 and dreaming of you by 9:30,"

"It is 8:25 so that gives us enough time, come on then,"

He grabbed my hand and we headed out the door. Once we steeped outside it was freezing and the cold wind ran right through my face.

"Omg it's freezing!" I should have though about brining a sweater, it is late October .

"Do you not have a sweater?" Caleb asked putting me in his arms to warmth me.

"No." oh I was so cold I hugged him tighter.

"Hold on. I think I have an old sweater in my trunk it's all I have, you okay wearing it ?"

I nodded as he ran to his trunk opening it and pulling out this old but cute Christmas sweater. He ran back to me and I quickly slipped it on.

"Oh thank you, I would have gotten hyperthermia without this adorable sweater." I said as I ran my finger through his black thick hair

"Come on Nix I'm down to 45 minutes!" I laughed as he put his hand in mine and me started to walk we passed by this beautiful patch of grass that had dandelions every where it was beautiful. It turns out thats a short cut to get around town. We finally reached a very particular part of town that Caleb loves. I realized that I had never seen these buildings before.

"I've never been to this part of town, I literally had to search the cafe on maps cause I had no idea where it was,"

"I always come down hear and walk just to get away sometimes."

"Away from what?" I asked Caleb.

"Well you remember that girl I date like in the 3 years ago?"

"Yea, why was her name, ..... Wasn't it Jennifer?" I gave him a dirty look cause I never liked any of his ex girlfriends

"Yea it was so anyways, shes like still obsessed with me even though she doesn't go to our school anymore. The guys want me to get with her cause they say that shes hot and honestly looks aren't everything."

By the looks in his eyes he really did want to get away.
"You're right I've always said that especially to jule....."

We bumped into 4 guys that I recognized from school who were Caleb's friends.

"Hey Caleb what are you doing here. I thought you said you were busy, so you couldn't watch the wrestling match with us tonight?" One dude with dirty blonde hair and dark eyes said in a southern accent.

"I am busy, like right now so could you guys leave us alone."
We were still holding hands and I was grabbing his arm.

"Us?" One his friends said "Well hello girly why are you doing with our friend that makes you so busy?" The dirty blonde said. I wanted to say we're on a date but I wasn't sure Caleb wanted people to know about us.

"Is this the reason why you've been missing practice to sneak around with, with a girl that isn't Jennifer oh come on Caleb you could to so much better than his!" If this guy want so tall I would have punched him in the nose!

'Don't you dare say that..." Caleb was furious and you calls see it in his eyes

"Why I can say all I want to say you dip...."I wouldn't let him finish.

"What's the point of this? Your mad your friend won't go out with some hoe, that's why he won't date her cause shes a hoe and yea maybe shes pretty and all but looks aren't every thing! Just because your some jock doesn't mean you can force people to like people they don't. I can't stand people like you that think just because you play a sport you better than every one it's just a sport. Gosh really this isn't some kind of tv show where your the director and every one is your muppets, every plays their own part and they can be who ever and with who ever they want to be with!" I was so angry and this was supposed to be a fun day but these jerks ruined it.

"Who are you to be telling me this, you know what I don't care who you are but you better shut that mouth of your before...."

Caleb lifted his hand and put it in front of his friend face and said "stop!"

"That's what I like about her that shes different and that she likes me for me. Not like every other girl who wants me for my looks or just for me to get in their pants. and she can talk to you like that all she wants but you won't touch her cause I won't let you because, shes my girlfriend."

The word girlfriend left me shocked. He looked at me and lifted an eyebrow to make sure if I really was his girlfriend and I nodded.

"Your girlfriend?" one of them said as another lifted his phone and showed Caleb and the photo that his Jennifer posted.

It was us kissing at the cafe with my hands around his neck and his palms on my face.

That had to be the most hilarious thing I had ever read!
I started bursting out in laughter.

All the 5 guys stared at me and Caleb said "Whats so funny, she called you a slut?"

When I could control my laughter I said "Her man, that fellow in the picture is my man!" before I knew it Caleb grabbed my head with his hands and we kissed slowly and soft.

"Wait" one of the guys said. " That's Nix the girl with a boys name!" they started to laugh when Caleb put his arm around me and we started to walk

"Come on Caleb take a joke!"

We kept talking we don't need their bull. We passed by a hat store and at that instant I knew Caleb and I had to get matching hats.

"Come on!" I grabbed his hand and pulled him into the store. We went into the beanie section cause I LOVE beanies.

"What's your favorite color?"

"Red," He said while picking up a red beanie

"Mines green, so I get the red one and you get the green one"

"Oh ok I see what your doing,"
We tried on the hats and instantly fell in love with them. After we payed for the Caleb screams

"Oh man, it's 8:45 we have 15 minutes left come on!" he put his hand in mine an we started to run.

"We can be late it's okay." I said hoping he heard me.

"No I Promised to get you in bed by 9:00!"

We finally reached the short cut and started walking.

"You know we have like 5 minutes left and the drive is another half hour,"

"Uh it doesn't count cause I can't drive you home."

"Maybe next time?" I sad lifting an eyebrows.

"Are you asking me out on a date?" Caleb said In a very girly voice.

"Yes I am so are good for Saturday?" I said as we approached my car.

"Yes absolutely Saturday is perfect!" He said as I opened the door.

"Ok we'll I have to go now, so see you at school tomorrow bye." I said as I gave him a kiss.

"Goodbye Nix," I got In my car and headed home thinking about how lucky I am.

When I got home I went straight to my room. I laid their on my bed. it was 9:20 and I was right in ten minutes I was dreaming about Caleb.
