Mia

Three U-Haul trucks were packed outside of our house. One for me and my parents, who quite frankly don't have much, one for my aunt and one for the twins. We went to my parents old house in Atlanta and got some of their belongings. We had to get our windows tinted and leave through the garage so nobody would see us.

My aunt already planned how she is going work in Virginia. She decided that's she's to go back and forth from Virginia to Atlanta every couple of  months. Hopefully that won't be too stressful on her.

When my aunt and I told my parents about the ordeal I had with Uncle Nathan, my dad went ballistic. He was about to rent out one of those tracker dogs and have it sniff some of Nathan's stuff to find him. Thank God he didn't actually do it. I don't know how you'd prosecute a dead man. It took alot for my mom to calm him down because she was pissed off too.

"When did your aunt find out?" my mom asked me later on

"The day before I found y'all" I replied

"How the hell did she not notice any of that in her house?" My mom wondered

"Most of the time he'd do it when no one was home. Sometimes he'd do it while the twins were home," I cried

"Did he ever..." she stopped

"Rape me? More times than I want to remember," I whispered

"Honey, I'm so sorry that you had to go through this," my mom apologized

"It's okay. Well no it's not okay. I'm not okay, but at least I have the two things I've wanted for the past couple years," I sighed

"And what are they?" she asked patting my nose

"You and daddy of course," I giggled

"We're glad to be back sweetie,"

"Can I ask you something?"

"Anything honey,"

"What was it like," I stopped

"What was what like?" She continued

"Being dead? Did you get to see dad there?  Were you a ghost? Or were you an angel looking down at me like everyone assured me you were? Did you meet Jesus? Or God? Did you see Po Pa and Memaw?"

All the questions I've kept inside that i've wanted to ask since they returned just spewed out of me. I really needed to know where they came from. I just want to be sure I know who they really are.

"Slow your horses Mia. It's a very heard thing to describe," she sighed

"Could you at least try to mom," I pleaded

" Fine. When your heart stops beating  and all your body organs stop working, you die. Everyone knows that.  What most people don't know is that you actually do become ghosts. I saw myself in the abandoned building I died in and a few other gruesome things. It took me a while to find your father though. An hour after your death, you are given a death coach, mine was named Rebecca Yong, she helped me find your father. He was at the house, making sure you slept well. Once we found him we got to go to the Afterlife Processing Center, that's where your either sentenced to Hell, Heaven, Purgatory, or Ghostdom," she explained

"What is the difference between Purgatory and Ghostdom?" I interrupted

" In purgatory, you have alot of sins that aren't taken care of. So you have to pay them off by working. You have to do the job that you thought was repulsive during your time of living on Earth. So whenever you make a mess and leave and it's all clean, it's either your mother, or a janitor in Purgatory. In Ghostdom, you have unfinished business that you want to take care of but you don't know how to finish it.  Ghosts usually let people know that they're still around. You can feel their presence. Whenever everyone thought that Grandma had gone crazy after Grandpa died and she started talking to Grandpa, she actually was talking to him. She could feel him in the room and he could hear every single thing she said to him,"
