Eyes of Luna

chapter one

(Amethyst p.o.v)

it started out like any other day, me lying upside down on Steven's bed, watching him play his stupid video game. my eyes started to shut on me "Hey Amethyst do you think pearl and Garnet will let me stay up tonight?" I opened my eyes to see Steven looking straight at me "I don't think so, my dude. you know how they get when you stay up too late." He looks the other way returning to his game and continuing to play.

it was about 2'sh? and pearl and garnet still haven't returned from their mission. I didn't have anything to do and Steven had just left to hang out with Connie, so I decided to take a stroll around town and go to the arcades. I stopped at the "BIG DONUTS" to grab some snack for the trip "Hey Amethyst, how has your day been?" Sadie greeted "Kind of boring. there isn't anything to do and I can't hang out with Steven because He went to this place called the Library with Connie, so I'm heading to the arcade to play some games." I said, looking for anything to help my stomach feel happy "what about Garnet and pearl? aren't they usually on those missions that Steven tells me about? why didn't you go with them?" I frowned, remembering what had happened earlier when they were still here. "I didn't like it" was all I can say. " well I hope you have a great day then" Sadie smiled then waved goodbye while I started to walk out.

I think I spent about 4 to 5 hours in the arcade. but bye the time I got out the sun was no longer visible. huh, it's been a while since I've flown. maybe if I transform into an owl and see the town from up high I can see what's new in town. I used my shape-shifting power to turned myself into an owl, as I flew around town I was startled by a weeping sound of a baby. "What the?" I flew closure and closure till I could finally where the direction of the crying baby. "an ally-way why would someone leave a baby in an ally-way?" I entered the ally and saw a box with a blanket on-top of it and in that was the weeping baby. it was all dirty and smelly, it's diapers was dirty and the poor baby was shivering with coldness. "hey there baby. where did you come from?" the baby smiled at me then started to laugh. I looked around, holding the baby of course to see if anyone was missing it. no one was. "I need to bring you back to the temple" I frowned, not at the baby but just the fact that it was just left there in a place where bad things can happen to it.

I walked the rest of the way home carrying the baby with both my arms. Garnet was waiting for me outside, of course she would know I would have the baby in my hands " what do you see Garnet? is it gonna be okay? is it's family looking for her" I asked, tears forming in my eyes. she grabbed the baby and looked at me " I see her growing up too fast, she isn't like any other human she's like Steven. A hybrid. her family abandon her they aren't looking for her." to those words come out was heartbreaking. I was like her once didn't know where I belonged, I was lost, I didn't want that to be the baby I wanted her to grow up knowing where she belonged. " Gar-" I was interrupted by the sound of the baby sudden outburst of tears, I quickly grabbed the child by Garnets hands and started to cradle it " Amethyst, you need to know that raising a child will be tough, but I want you to know that if you're going to keep her then she will need a name." A name? I thought what would be a good name for her?

"Luna her name is going to be Luna" I smiled.

I wrote this like a year ago, but I never gotten around to make edits or even finish this book and I still haven't. so if you guys think this chapter is good y'all can comment here.

And yes I'm aware that this chapter is short.
