"I don't think anything of you."
Those words drew the bad boy of Thornhill High to good girl Anatolia like a moth to a flame.

Don't you think there's always something unspoken between two people?

Olivia, Lucy and I are making our way through the old, posh part of Thornhill's nightlife called The Risings.
We walk elegantly across the cobblestones in our heels. The silver pair I chose for tonight glitter under the yellow streetlamps.
The Sex Tips' gig has just finished, and we're on our way to an expensive restraunt named House of Gold. The band are going to join us once they've packed up their kit.
My nerves have been building all night. Seeing Jax up on the stage, so confident and sexy, only made me feel so plain and boring. I just hope he doesn't think so.
"Please rememeber I have to be home by 10," I say, as House of Gold comes into view.
"10?" Lucy groans.
"It's a school night," I respond, apologetically. "It's the best I could do."
"Best make the next two hours count then girls," Olivia winks.
Just as we're entering the restraunt, a group of middle aged men are exiting.
"Want to join us, ladies?" One of them asks, clearing having had too much alcohol.
I just manage to dodge his gropes as we pass him and his friends.
"Gross," I comment.
"Fuck off, grandpa," Lucy calls over her shoulder.
A pretty waitress waiting to greet us widens her eyes in shock.
"Table for 3?" She asks, looking us up and down.
"7," Olivia replies. "The rest of our group will be here shortly."
The waitress nods curtly, "this way."
I pull my black, velvet dress down a little as we go. It clings to what little curves I have.
"You look amazing," Olivia whispers into my ear, catching me staring at myself in one of the many mirrors.
"Thank you, Liv," I smile, shyly. Then eye her shimmery, pink dress. "You look like a model. As always."
Olivia gives me a quick kiss on the cheek. "If you're any nicer, my head won't fit through the door on our way out."
"I'm sure I can come up with some insults, Megamind."
She shoves me into the booth the waitress stops at.
"Thanks," Olivia smiles.
"Thank you," I chime, giggling.
Lucy silently sits down beside me, eyes glued to her phone.
The waitress strolls back to the front of the restraunt, ready to guide in more guests.
"They're almost here," Lucy tells us, excitedly. "How's my makeup?"
"Perfect," Olivia and I say together.
Lucy wears a satisfied look. "I love you both so much, you know."
I start eyeing the door to the restraunt. My hands are feeling a little clammy and it feels like butterflies are futtering around my stomach.
"Does anyone want a drink?" I ask abruptly.
"Just wait until the boys get here," Lucy says. "They're all 18 so they can get us alcohol."
"I'm OK with orange juice," I reply, edging out of the booth.
"Suit yourself."
I make my way to the bar. The bartender is a young, blonde male.
"I'm going to need your ID."
"For an orange juice?" I give him a wry smile.
He starts to chuckle. "Nah. I think you're old enough for one of those."
Just as he's handing me my drink, I hear heels clattering across the floor towards me.
Olivia suddenly appears at my side.
"River's here," she breathes.
The butterflies in my stomach transform into bats.
"Are you sure it's him?"
"Positive."
I turn away from the bar, and start scanning the room.
My eyes find River's electric, green ones almost instantly.
He stares at me intently, before allowing his eyes to trail slowly down my body.
My face falters a bit when a beautiful brunette appears at his side, and I realise he's here with Charlotte Pemberton.
He says something to the waitress, who's being very attentive to him, and she starts leading them across the restraunt, chatting all the way. River and Charlotte settle into the booth opposite ours.
Olivia grabs my hand. "Come on, Ana. The boy's are here too. Jax is excited to meet you properly."
"Of course," I murmur, trying to avoid River's burning gaze as we make our way back to our booth.
"Hi there," Jax smiles as I sit down beside him. "That's quite the dress."
I feel my cheeks burn. "Thank you. That's a cute shirt."
He's wearing a loose, paisley-patterned shirt that lies open a little at the top, revealing tanned skin and a shark tooth necklace.
I quickly glance at River. He's wearing one of his standard black, muscle fit t-shirts, and his silver chain with the cross pendant. He makes simple look ravishing.
Charlotte's busy whispering something in his ear, when his eyes flit over to me and Jax.
He takes a sip of his drink, his expression darkening considerably.
I distantly hear Jax calling my name.
"Ana?" Jax repeats, louder. "Am I boring you, sweetheart?
I tear my eyes away from River, just as Charlotte starts trailing a finger down his muscly chest.
"God, no, sorry. What were you saying?" I ask, feeling awful.
"I said, what did you think of the show?"
"Oh! It was incredible," I smile. "You guys are really something special."
"Ah," Jax grins. "You're adorable."
My cheeks turn red again.
"So," Jax casually drapes an arm over my shoulder, and points with his free hand. "This is Jace, our drummer, you've probably heard things about him already."
Jax sends Lucy a wink. She smiles, then inches closer to Jace.
"So you'll know I'm the prodigy of the band," Jace drawls, his blue-grey eyes sparkling.
"Maybe when you don't drop your sticks," the guy next to him scoffs. "Ah wait. That's never happened. "
"Hilarious."
"That's Noah," Jax chuckles. "Our bass player."
Noah wears his caramel hair in a man bun and adornes quite a few piercings.
He gives me a fist bump.
"Last but not least," Jax drawls, "we have antisocial Sam. Guitar and vocals."
"Hi," I greet the boy sat next to Olivia.
Sam tucks his blonde, shoulder-length hair behind his pierced ears and gives me a brief smile.
They're all gorgeous - especially Jax. But somehow they still don't compare to the tattooed devil sat just metres away, whose glowering at our table.
As the night goes on, Jace and Lucy isolate themselves in the corner of the booth, basically just to make out. Whilst the rest of us joke around and make small talk with each other.
I'm having such a fun time that I don't even realise it's nearing my curfew, until Olivia points it out.
"Ana, we need to think about leaving. If you're even a minute late, your dad's going to have every policeman in town scouring the steets for you."
"You're not kidding," I agree, before edging out of the booth. "I just need to quickly use the restroom."
As I'm walking past River's table to get to the toilets, I hear Charlotte usher, "Doesn't she go to our school?"
"So what if she does?" River snaps.
God he's in a mood tonight.
I wash my hands in the waterfall sink, inspecting myself in the golden mirrors as I do so. The dark circles under my eyes tell me I need to get a good night's sleep.
I exit the women's toilets, just as the door to the men's opens.
River and I both stop in our tracks, inches apart, and take each other in.
His eyes are vacant and emotionless. The way they are when he's in a fight.
"Hey," I say softly.
He examines me with his cold gaze.
"Fuck, you're beautiful," he exhales.
My lips part slightly in surprise.
"But so fucking naive," he adds, before walking out of sight.
