Chapter 1

Genesis gazed at Roger "You want me to take the case"she said .Roger nodded .She kept her gaze on him" but you love such cases "she reminded him wondering if she should accept his offer." Yes I do" he agreed "but you'll handle this one better" he told her .She said nothing for some seconds "okay,I'll take the case" she agreed finally. She started towards the intergoration room."hold on young lady you forgot this"he said to her handing her a file"thank you"she muttered and continued towards the room.

  Rafael sat in the intergoration room thinking of all that had happened ,he glanced at the gray walls around him .The chair was so hard you  could squirm but he didn't he kept on convincing himself that everything would be fine and he would be out of this  mess soon
  The door opened making him more conscious of his surroundings. His gaze lingered at the entrance as soon as the dictative walked in he couldn't help but to keep his gaze on her ,she was stunning ,beautiful in fact an Angel .He kept his gaze on her till she sat on the seat opposite him .she's too pretty to be a cop . he thought as she looked at him and opened the file. "You seem to have had a pretty rough day or should I say night" she said looking up from the file . Rafael was struck by the sweet melody of her voice . He said nothing but kept his gaze on her ."Well"she continued not minding if he gave a response or not."in your statement you said the dead guy in question attacked you first.
"Yeah" he answered with on expression on his face.
Different from the evidence and statement she had . she thought. "The evidence and statements we have state otherwise." She told him . She studied him carefully . She had expected him to flinch but he didn't neither did he shift his gaze from her. "Look dearie ,I'm the victim here" he said in a calm tone.
"As you want us to understand"
He grinned "You cops are annoying, you can't make me accept that cause I'm not guilty of it." He said in cold manner.
"You..."
"Someone's out there trying to frame me up and play games with the cops" he interrupted her in that annoying cold manner.
      She was becoming uncomfortable and he was waking her tamper . He was supposed to be the one uncomfortable not her. She thought. Those deep blue eyes of his had been on her since she got into the room and she hated it."You've had a good record so far"she said."whatever"he replied nonchalantly. For a moment he wondered how sweet she was going to be in bed . Every passing moment he had stayed with her kept making X rated thought run through his mind. She made him feel something he had never felt with any other lady he had come in contact with . He was fighting the urge to kiss her."can we please change the topic "he said . Genesis gazed at him puzzled "are you serious, Rafael, this is a murder case are you aware of that?"
He smirked "Yes of course " he answered "you know ,you're pretty" he added .
Genesis frown . seriously. He thought .She began to arrange the papers in  the file "well see you in court" she said .Taking the file from the table she left.

Howard lighted a cigar ,he drew some smoke and puffed it into the air."I wanted him dead"he yelled
Ian shifted uncomfortably "isn't it okay the cops got him?" He asked. Howard yelled again "no."  " the evidence will expose everything "he added in a lower tone.
Ian sipped his wine " you have to keep it down ,got my fiancée upstairs "he warned
Howard snorted" women they betray you when you least expect."he said scornfully.
"Howard ,I want you to relax,the cops won't come after us " he took a long sip from his glass "I'm no fool,I've got someone on the inside" he grinned
Howard gave him a suspicious gaze "who's the guy" he asked."It's non of your concern ,he works for me and not the both of us." Ian replied after some minute of silence. Howard drew some smoke and let it out through his nostrils "fine" he said with his eyes on Ian.

  She was just five years old when they took everything away ,from her family. That night keep recalling in her memory .She could still hear the gun shot that brought her twin brother ,Micah down . She could still hear screams from people around ,she remembered someone taking her away from the scene . Genesis forced herself out of her thoughtful journey it wasn't time to become emotional. She set back to study Rafael's case."Well, well ,well "she said to herself" he has a good record".But a frustrating personality .she thought .She smiled as she recalled the all what he said during the intergoration. A  guy who says whatever he want no matter the situation. Crazy . she thought."Someone's out there trying to frame me up and play games with the cops. "This statement of his kept replaying in her mind . For reasons she couldn't figure out she believed him .Maybe there's  something he know that he wasn't saying. She thought.
" What do you know Rafael "she muttered and ran her fingers through her hair .Rafael Ragul Rigo, 25years old ,lost both parents at the age of nine ,lived with a family friend till he was 20 then he inherited all of his Father's ranches . She recalled. "He has a good record so far." She said to herself.
     The door flung open , she shook her head and watch her best friend rush into the house. Victoria was more than a best friend to her ,she was a sister although they were different in the way they handle things the life. "Back already?" Genesis asked as Victoria pulled off her jacket "yeah" Victoria answered
"Seems you're in a rush" Genesis added
"Yeah,I'm late supposed to be at the casino " she replied
Genesis frown"seriously Vicky "
She stepped closer to Genesis"got another case"she said and went into the kitchen
"Yeah,quite an annoying one"
"What's wrong?"Vicky asked as she help herself with a glass of fruit juice
" I've got this feeling that the suspect is being framed up ,but the evidence are strongly against him"she told her"you know the shocking thing ,he doesn't give a damn"
Vicky said nothing for some seconds "I don't know Gen. Just do what you think is right ,that's why it's your job" she said as she placed the glass on the kitchen counter "as for me I'm off to mine" she added and started towards the door "thanks for nothing" Gen said with a joking smile "You're welcome and see you in the morning " Vicky said before shutting the door behind her.
