“Thank you for visiting. The food was great. Ill bring you all something later.” said Mrs. Cruz to my mother.

I didn’t wait for the woman to say their goodbyes. I just said bye and left to cross the street, Manti next to me waving bye to the twins. The smile on his face showed just how much he had enjoyed the visit, wellat least one of us got something out of this.

I made my way home with the idea of watching TV and eating a cereal. I looked both ways to cross the street when something caught my attention two houses down, a girl. She was kneeling down on the grass of someones yard with a camera. What is she doing? Yeah sure taking a picture of something but what? I saw her frown and lower her camera. She slowly got up and dusted the dirt of her white summer dress. I could see her mouth moving saying something but couldn't make out the words. She then continued down the sidewalk towards us and once she was standing in front of us I couldn't think straight, literally.

“Hi.” Manti greeted. His young mind not yet being able to register what was standing before him as an attractive teen.

“Hello.” she said to him with sweet voice and a small wave of her hand. Wow, shes so beautiful. All I could think about was how I had never seen a more perfect looking human being in my life. She was almost a whole head shorter than me at the moment with me slouching and her standing straight and proud. I wonder if I stand straight will she be even shorter? She wore a frilly white dress with a thin belt across her slim but curved waist. Wavy black hair framed her face, some strands settling across it as the wind blew behind her. The most amazing feature I couldn’t keep my eyes away from was her captivating turquoise eyes, cool blue with just a hint of green. I couldn’t stop staring at them and missed the sounds that came from her shinny pink lips.

“LEXI!” Manti screamed from halfway across the road.

“Huh? What. Oh, what?” I shook out of my trance and saw the beauty in front of me smile. As if I needed anymore reasons to stare.

“Lexi lets go!”

“Bye Manti. Bye Lexi.” what she knows my name? How I never said my name, wait Ugh! I didn’t even say hi.

“Manti how dose she know our names?” I asked once I caught up to the twerp.

“I told her” he said simply.

“Umm dude do you know her?” You little devil you better not have told her my full name.

“Yup shes our neighbor. Look.” he said as he pointed towards the house across the street and indeed, she was our new neighbor. She walked up to the door kissed her mom on the cheek and entered the house. As soon as she was fully inside the house I wanted her back in my line of sight. How am I going to survive living across such a beautiful goddess.
