One of my favorite parts about my job was my ability to travel across the country while doing what I loved. To make it even better, I was able to do it by the side of my amazing boyfriend. Getting to explore different cities with Christian was so much fun.
The team was in New York for a series against the Mets, and had an off day before the series begun. Both Christian and I had been to New York City a bunch of times, but Christian had never been able to experience it the way I was able to. Because I lived in Philly, the two hour drive to New York made the city accessible and I got to explore it time and time again. Christian on the other hand had only been in the city when he played the Mets or Yankees, and had never actually gotten to see the city as a tourist. When Christian told me this I knew I had to do something about it.

"Wake up," I said excitedly, shaking Christian trying to wake him up. Christian groans in response with his eyes still shut, pulling the covers up further.
"Come on C, get up," I say as I continue shaking his body. Once again, his eyes remain shut as he grunts and tries to ignore me and continue sleeping. I have one last move that I know will wake him.
I take my hands over of his shoulders, where I was shaking him in hopes he would wake up and move a hand under the blanket. Christian was not a morning person so I knew he would need some incentive to wake up, and I knew just what would do it for him. Slowly moving my hands down his torso, I feel Christian's warm bare chest under the covers as I move my hand further down his body. I feel his toned abs and then the waistline of his boxers. I put my hand inside of his boxers and feel his morning wood. I grasp it before beginning to rub it, slowly at first but then increasingly faster as I hear small moans escape Christian's mouth, finally waking up, now in pleasure.
"Now you're awake," I say, laughing a little as I continue to make him feel good.
"What can I say, you give a great hand job," Christian says in his raspy morning voice while laughing a little, still tired from just waking up. I shove him a little, jokingly in response.
"You're right. Now get up," I say pulling his arm, trying to get him to sit up.
"Brynnnn, it's not even 8 on an off day. Why are we not sleeping in??" Christian said confused.
"I have something special planned for the day and we are starting early, so get up, get ready and then we're heading out," I said excitedly.
"I don't know how you can have this much energy so early," Christian said while rubbing his eyes and slowly getting out of bed.
Christian hopped in the shower while I picked out an outfit for the day, then went into the bathroom to finish getting ready.

"Mhhm, you look hot," Christian says as he gets out of the shower, a towel wrapped around his waist.
"Well I try for you," I say flirtatiously in response. "Now finish getting ready."
"You're a hard ass today," Christian says laughing a little and kissing the top of my head before going into the bedroom of the hotel room to finish getting ready.

"So what's the plan," Christian said as we stepped out of the hotel and onto the New York City street. It was a warm August day and the city was busy with the usual New York City bustle - the Brewers may have had an off day, but the rest of this city certainly didn't.
"Well, you told me you've never explored New York so that's exactly what we're going to do today," I say excitedly as I grab his hand to lead him down the street.
We walked about 20 minutes from the hotel until we reached the Empire State Building. We went inside and took the elevator up to the 86th floor where we got to see one of the most incredible views the city had to offer.
"Wow," Christian said as we looked out the glass window. He was standing behind me with his arms around me as we both admired the beautiful city.
"Yeah," I reply simply in response. "Isn't this so much better than sleeping in?"
"Yup," he says in response. "Thank you for this," he finishes, placing a kiss on the top of my head.
After we had finished enjoying the view from the high level, we made our way back to the ground and began to walk to our next location.
Just walking around the city, no matter where the final destination may be, is so special in this city and Christian had never even been able to do this!
We arrived at the entrance to the high line and walked through it, enjoying the gorgeous view of the Hudson River and the Manhattan skyline as well as cool stops like art installations and plants along the path. It was super fun and I loved doing it with Christian by my side, holding my hand.
Next we went to Times Square. There isn't that much to do here, but Christian and I enjoyed the bright lights and huge crowds together as we took in a staple sight of NYC.
Our last stop of the day was Central Park - another staple. This was the stop Christian was most excited for, and I couldn't blame him. There was nothing better than strolling through Central Park. We strolled around aimlessly for a while, just enjoying the beautiful greenery within the bustling city, walking, chatting and just enjoying each others company.
After an hour of walking around we decided to go to a restaurant for dinner. It was kinda early, around 5:30, but we were tired and hungry from walking around and exploring the other day.
We left the park and began to walk down a street in search of a restaurant. After about 10 minutes we found a really cute cafe restaurant and went in.
"Thank you Brynn," Christian said once we had sat down at a table.
"No problem," I reply, smiling at him. I really had an amazing day. The purpose may have been for him to get to see this city, but I was also able to rediscover and see a city I have always loved in a new way - in love.
"You make me so happy, I love being able to explore new things with you, it makes it so much more special," Christian said genuinely. I felt the exact same way.
