Johnny was nervous, his hands were shaking and he couldn't stay still even if his life dependend on it. He was waiting for his future husband to arrive so that they could make the annoucement of the engagement and then start the party with all the nobles. His father already told him to sit down three times, but Johnny just couldn't sit there knowing that at any moment his future husband would walk in. He still didn't met him or knew his name yet, but he knew that he was from a far away land that took over a month traveling to get there. It made him feel even more intrigued with the boy.
When the doors swing open, the boy who walked past them made Johnny almost gasp out loud. It wasn't some unknown prince for him. He did actually met the boy before and he did think about him for the last year. But he never thought that the boy he spent his sister's wedding with would ever come back, so he had already accepted that he would have to settle for this arranged marriage and forget about the beautiful boy. That night they spent dancing together and talking over a bottle of wine they stole was the best night Johnny has ever lived and he was happy that he would be marrying that same boy. He just could hope that Chittaphon felt the same.
After the annoucement was made, everyone walked to the ball room, where there was going to be a party for the nobles to celebrate the alliance. Johnny was trying to get his now fiancée attention but he had his eyes set on the kings. Once the party had started, he finally turned himself to Johnny, his smile dissapering very slowly. Johnny panicked, thinking he was mad or even sad to soon marry him.
- I thought i would never meet you again. - Chittaphon whispered. - Imagine my surprise when i finally arrived at my engagement party this morning and found out that i was going to marry you.
Johnny looked around to see if anyone was listening to them before answearing.
- Aren't you happy to back at the palace? - he tried to smile softly.
- Oh, I am happy. I'm just very choked. - Chittaphon took a sip of his white wine. - Did you know about this? The wedding and me, i mean.
- No, I didn't. I only found out who i was going to be engaged to when you arrived.
- Well, I like to think it was fate bringing us together after a whole year. - he smiled.
They kept talking the whole party, sometimes greeting some of the nobles walking aroung the room. When the sun setted Johnny accompanied Chittaphon to his bedroom before going to his own. He had the best sleep ever, dreaming of the time he and his husband would rule the kingdom together, having a great life with each other.
thank you to anyone who ever read this. Is my first short story for the plotober challenge. I'll only be doing a few of those, mostly it will be only the plot itself.
