"Lloyd's here!" The Fire Ninja's voice rang out, echoing against the walls of the room as he called to the rest of the team. Faces spun to meet the entrance of the headquarters where their awaited teammate stood.

Lloyd swung his bag off his back, letting in fall in a heap to the side. "Hey guys, what's going on?" The blonde raced to meet the rest of the group, as they all gave him a simultaneous greeting.

The ninja team were huddled around a few computers as The Ice Ninja worked his magic along the keys. Each screen displayed a few vaguely familiar faces, which seemed to connect to different news articles. Most of the information was dated, but some seemed fairly recent.

The Green Ninja rested his hands on the back of The Ice Ninja's – Zane's – chair, trying the question again. "What's all this?"

This time, The Earth Ninja – Cole – answered him. "Zane's managed to dig up all the past information on The Iridescent, even tried to collect possible suspects. Unfortunately, there's still nothing set in stone." He catches his friend up, chuckling lightly at his own little pun on his element.

"Though," The Water Ninja – Nya – continues, leaning over to point at the latest news article. "We might have a lead." She seemed to have more to say, but her brother – The Fire Ninja, cut her off.

"Look," He holds his palms out, upturned. "Not to be a downer or anything but why exactly are we all riled up over this case again? I mean, it's got nothing to do with us." The brunette clicked his tongue and resumed his rant. "We're ninjas, not authorities! Plus this happened like, what, 18 years ago now? Not to mention there's no cash-"

"Kai," Cole cuts in, giving him a sideways glare. "Ninja's protect, this is to protect the city." His dark, bushy eyebrows narrow. "And since when was this ever about the money!?"

"I'm just saying!" Kai snapped back, folding his arms across his defined chest. "If we actually crack this, it's almost a two-decade-old mystery solved! Surely that's gotta be worth something..."

Lloyd shook his head, exchanging a glance between him and the rest of the team. "Kai." Sure Kai could be...a bit of an idiot at times, but this new materialistic outlook was something strange, even for him.

The Fire Ninja let out a defeated sigh and turned his gaze away. "Sorry, sorry...I'm just...sick of doing all this. Us sitting around, waiting for them to make a mistake."
