Chapter 44

Kyle's POV

As I check on the food, I couldn't stop thinking about Miles and Jemma. I was worried about Jemma, I was worried that something would spark back between them two.

But I know that Miles really likes his new girlfriend and plans to be with her for a while. But Miles and Jemma loved each other very much, and love can stay for a very long time. I'm just worried that since Miles is back, she will remember all of the good times she had with him and she will want to go back to him.

I'm hoping with everything I have that nothing happens between them. I look down and see my wedding ring. I roll my eyes and throw those thoughts away.

I'm so stupid, she's my wife. She's in love with me. She wouldn't cheat on me. She and I are a family and we belong together. Miles and she are done. They ended many years ago. She is mine now.

I was pulled out of my thoughts as I heard footsteps coming. I thought it would be Jemma but I was quickly surprised when Miles's girlfriend Lily came through the door.

"Hey, how are things going with dinner?" She asked me smiling.

"Great, so I know this is none of my business. But what do you think of staying here over Christmas with everything that happened between Miles and Jemma?" I asked Lily.

"What do you mean?" She asked me. "Them dating. Don't you know?" I asked her and she shook her head. I could see the veins popping out of her head. She looked really pissed off.

"Tell me, Kyle, what type of stuff happened between them?" Lily asked me. "They dated for a good while and they ended up breaking up for some really weird reason. They were like totally in love with each other and stuff." I said.

I needed to tell Lily, mostly because she deserved to know. She was dating Miles and I felt as if she needed to know that she was staying with Miles's ex-lover, girlfriend, and some other things.

After about 1 minute of silence, both Miles and Jemma came down at the same time. Lily turned around and slapped Miles as soon as he got to her.

"How could you not tell me?" Lily yelled.

"What are you talking about?" Miles asked her. "You should have told me that you and her dated!" Lily yelled.

"Look, Lily, you have no right to know. You may be my girlfriend, but you're not in control of my past, it was years ago. I and she are over now. I have no feelings for her. And how could you dare even say anything like that? If you were going to yell at me, do it in private. This is between you and me, Jemma is married now. She loves her husband and not me. Maybe you need to stop being so insecure and actually think about your actions before you do something." Maye said.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean that Miles. I'm sorry I hit you. I had no right to act that way. I just care about you so much, that I don't want anything to happen to us. I was worried since we were here, that you might catch feelings for her again. Especially since you were in love with her. I know me and you haven't been dating for a while, and I have no right to say anything, but I still really care about you and I don't want anything to happen to us." Lily said.

"Look, either way, I can't do this anymore. You are too much. First, you say that I drink too much, which isn't true, then I was cheating, it's always something new with you. I just decided to put it behind, but I can't do it anymore. You bring too much drama along with you, and I can no longer do it. I know it's Christmas Eve and all, but I think we need to break up." Miles said. I looked at Kyle begging him to leave the room. It was awkward enough, I knew Kyle did this. Maybe not on purpose, most probably on accident. I mean he has no right to be jealous right?
