Story: Tonya asks an age old question about Edgar's dog.

"So, why exactly did you name your dog Scraps?"

Edgar looked over at Tonya, halting his progress in baby talking the hairy creature lovingly caught in a face smoosh, "Why d'ye want to know?"

She looked up over the rim of her glasses, flicking some holograms off to the side so she can see better, "I'm just curious. You could've named him anything from Fido to Heracles and yet you chose a Corpse Bride reference."

"Not just a Corpse Bride reference." He huffed a bit before giving the dog some belly rubs, "The original idea was that he tried eatin' the scrap metal around my workshop. Also happens to be where I found him at first, at least in a pile of unusable garbage by the dumpster outside. He also kept stealin' my leftovers, so the name is fittin' for a number of reasons."

The dog rolled out of Edgar's reach before hopping up and getting comfortable on the couch, sliding his head into Iza's lap with a content look as Iza gave him head scritches without looking up from her book.

"I'm surprised Iza allowed you to keep him around."

"It took a bit of convincin'. The kids were a big help in the decision making process."

Iza glanced up with a grumble, "It wasn't that hard. I simply allowed him to stay with conditions because I wouldn't hear the end of it if we had gotten rid of him."

Tonya smirked, "You're growing soft, Iza. You can't bear to see your kids disappointed and that's why you kept the dog. That's some remarkable character development."

Iza furrowed her eyebrows, "Don't you have places to destroy instead of pestering everyone here?"

Tonya huffed as she got up and tucked her glasses into her nest of hair, "Fine, I'll take the hint." She glanced at Edgar for a split second, "Send me pics if she's snuggling with the dog, wouldja? I gotta have 'em... for research purposes."

"Begone, Tonya."

"Fiiiiiine..."
