Spooktober.10

Winter was approaching New York, and the cold spread through the city quickly.

Peter didn't even see it coming. At this point in his life, after everything that's happened—He just focuses on living day by day, week by week. Thinking about anything more than that sends him spiraling. It makes him lose track of the calendar.

Because of the cold and everything drying up, Peter was very prone to nosebleeds. Tony finds this out extremely fast.

Suddenly, there was blood dripping onto Peter's worksheets. Tony noticed first. His eyes widened and he looks up at Peter's face.

Blood trickled down his nostril. Tony quickly reached over and got a tissue, handing it to Peter. "Kid, you've got a bloody nose."

Peter looks up at Tony and then brings his hand to his nose. He sees the red and frowns. Peter takes the tissue, putting it up to his nose. "Man, these suck. I hate bloody noses. I didn't even get punched this time! Lame."

"Peter—" Tony snorts.

Peter dips his head back and Tony yelps. "No! Don't do that. Tilt your head down," He says, getting more tissues and giving them to Peter.

"What? Why?" Peter says. His voice is distorted from the tissues pressed to his nose. Tony would have found it funny if he wasn't focusing on making sure his kid was okay.

"Because. When liquid goes down your throat you can choke, and nobody wants to do that with blood. Keep your head down," Tony says firmly.

Peter nods and tilts his head down. "Yeah, that makes sense."

"Yeah, I would hope so," Tony scoffs, ruffling Peter's hair. "I am a certified genius."

Peter rolls his eyes, smiling a little.

"Did you just roll your eyes at me? How dare thy." Tony looks down at Peter with a scrunched up nose. "You're supposed to be supportive."

"I am supportive. Of the truth," Peter says with a grin.

Tony shakes his head. "The disrespect. Where are your parents?"

"Dead, lol."

"I—Did you just say 'l-o-l' out loud?"

"Did you just spell out the word lol?" Peter argues back with a grin.

"You infuriate me," Tony says flatly, reaching over and grabbing a handful of fresh tissues. He hands them to Peter, who throws the bloodied ones in the trash can.

"Yeah, yeah," Peter laughs. "I think the bleeding stopped."

"You sure?"

Peter nods.

"Cool," Tony nods back. "I'm guessing the nosebleed was from the dry weather recently?"

"Yeah.." Peter trails off. "How do you know all this stuff?"

"I've been a dad for eight years," Tony says with a shrug, turning back to his work.

"Wait—Morgan is only six, though," Peter points out.

"Yeah? But I've known you for the other two years."

Peter only blinks at that, a surprised yet pleasant warmth settling in his heart. He speaks up after a second.

"Oh.

..Cool."
