The sun was beginning to set on the tail of the horizon, creating a beautiful pink orange tinge to paint the fading sky. The crunching of leaves under feet stung the otherwise quiet air. Guns were glued to their now trained hands, itching trigger fingers at the ready in case there was need to fire.

Yoongi stalked tall at the front of the pack, Jungkook the new member of their little crew trailing not far behind. Both in a way trying to assert dominance, both wanting to be the leader even if Yoongi didn't want to admit it.

Jimin hung at the back, wanting to force as much distance between the menace and him as he possibly could. Jungkook wasn't someone he wanted nor desired to converse with. He's a man he hoped to never meet again. A fatal reminder of the past he lost, of the past he'd never get back. Jungkook took away his chance to be with his family, with his loved ones.

He took that away and he could never forgive him for that. Even though he wasn't the one who crashed into his car he still very much held him responsible for the accident. If he didn't run. If he didn't  forced him to follow. If he didn't is all that consumed Jimin's thoughts.

Because ultimately in his mind if Jungkook hadn't been in the picture none of this would've happened. He had to hold onto that because if he couldn't blame Jungkook who could he?

"How much further? My feet are killing me?" Tae is slugging in behind Jimin, seeming to be tied to his side.

They'd been walking for a few hours now, the trek back to their car to dangerous as the undead claimed the land. They couldn't get to their car so instead they were being lead to the small camp Jungkook came from to maybe wade the undead out to be able to get back to their car.

"It's not far." Jungkook cracks his head back, eyes not bothering to waver to Tae but Jimin before turning back around leaving his lingering gaze.

"You said that an hour ago. Why couldn't we just shoot our way to the car? It's much less dangerous than being out in the open like this." Tae didn't like being vulnerable like this, where the undead roamed ready to feast on them.

Jimin couldn't help but agree, he hated this, hated wandering aimlessly in the middle of nowhere not knowing where they were. He felt blind, a prey in a herd of predators. Night was going to be soon upon them and they couldn't be out in the open like this when it did.

"We're here, you're going to have to go through a few checks before we can allow you in. Don't want anyone sick coming in and affecting us all." They slowly approached a barbed wire gated community, two strong looking men guarded the interior of the two gates.

"Jungkook! We were starting to think they might have got yah." The one with a shaven head and a heavy looking rifle greets through the still closed gates.

"Not me! Nothing can kill me not even those little fuckers." Jungkook raises his gun in the air, cheering and boasting.

Jimin can't help but roll his eyes, he could see his ignorance hadn't been lost when civilisation had.

"Who are they?" The two men come nearer the gate, eyeing the four strangers like they were strung up pieces of meat.

Yoongi steps forward, acting as the leader he is holding strong and powerful. Jimin had to admire the man, he was the glue keeping them together. Without his decision making, without his leadership they were sure to be dead.

"They were almost dead meat if I hadn't saved their arses." Jungkook directs his pointed remarks towards Jimin himself, his eyes snapping to him and no one else.

In polite retaliation he gives him the finger, sticking his tongue out like a child. Jungkook silently laughs at that, giving him a cheeky wink in return.
