Chapter 5

Aphmau was currently at Brenden's house. She sat on his couch, desperately trying to catch her breath. Tears were running down her face and she was freaking out.

"Whoa whoa Aphmau!" Brenden exclaimed, putting a hand on her shoulder, sitting down next to her, "Are you okay? Do you need to talk?" He asked, his voice full with concern. He was incredibly worried, he's never seen Aphmau cry before.

"I'm fine, just something happened and I don't really want to talk about it.." Aphmau said, tears still running down her face.

"Hey, it's okay." Brenden said and hugged Aphmau, rubbing her arm to try and comfort her the best he could. He wasn't the best at comforting others, but he tried his damned best. "I understand if you don't want to talk about it, I just want to make sure you're okay."

Aphmau took a minute before taking a few deep breaths and wiping her tears away with her sleeves. She took one last deep breath before looking at Brenden and pulling one of her award winning smiles, "Thanks Brenden. I'm sorry I showed up out of no where, I didn't mean to bother you." She apologized.

"No need to apologize, you're welcomed her at any time, you're my friend and i care about you." Brenden said with a smile.

"Thank you, that means a lot, more than you know actually." Aphmau said and hugged Brenden, and he only returned the hug.

"Kawaik~Chan cant believe those weirdos showed up and took down Katelyn~Sama!" KC whined, Katelyn was sitting on the couch, an ice pack on her cheek as she glared at KC.

"He did NOT take me down, we just had a draw in our fight." Katelyn said and turned the TV on.

"What did Aphmau~Senpai go?? She's not answering her phone!" KC continued to whine.

"I'm sure she's at the boys house, hiding from those wackos." Katelyn said.

"MmMmmmmmm! Kawaii~Chan guesses she probably is with the boys." KC said, "Does Katelyn~Sama need anything else? Bandaids? More ice?"

"I'm fine, thank you though." Katelyn said with a small smile. KC returned the smile and walked around the couch and sat down next to Katelyn.

"Shit dude!" Adam yelled as he punched the steering wheel. They all sat in the van, about a block away from Aphmau's house. Shelby put a hand on Adam's shoulder, a small whine escaping her lips.

Max groaned in the back seat, his body aching from the fight that had just happened. Ross sat in the back with Max, allowing Max to have his legs on Ross' lap, so he could kind of lay in the back seat.

"Hey man, at least we know where she is." Ross said with a small smile, trying to brighten Adam's mood, but it didn't work.

"I know, but why did she run? She clearly would've recognized you two right?" Adam questioned the two in the back.

Max sighed, "I was distracted, as you saw. We have no clue why Jess would run, maybe she didn't recognize us?"

"Impossible! I saw the way Jess looked at me, she knew who I was but she was.. scared." Ross said, remembering the look on her face when he saw her on the floor.

Shelby sighed, "I'm sure she thought we were strangers Ross," She said.

"Nope! She surely recognized me, I know so." Ross said.

"It doesn't matter now, these people think we're fuckin wackos who are here to prey on Jess!" Adam said as he punched the steering wheel once more, this time firing off a honk.

"Calm down, I'm sure we can get Ty and Jin down here, knock some sense into these people." Shelby said, knowing that those two were better at talking to people and explaining things than them.

"You're right, let's head back." Adam said, taking a deep breath before turning on the van and driving off.

"How was your search?" Asked a voice as the four walked in. The voice looked up to see the mess that Max was in. "Oh shit! Max are you alright?"

"Yeah yeah, i'm fine Ian, don't even sweat it." Max said with a cheeky smile.

Ian sprung up and offered to take Max into the infirmary that they had in the offices, but Max continued to decline.

Ross shoved Max into Ian's arms, "Take him." He said, pushing his glasses up.

"ROSS! COULD'VE WARNED ME BEFORE YOU ALMOST KILL ME!" Max yelled but Ian just took him away.

Adam just laughed, watching as Max struggled in Ian's arms to escape, and probably attempt to kill Ross.

"Someone is pissed." Said another voice as they popped into the room.

"Ah! Just the person we were looking for!" Shelby said, her arms shooting up above her head.

"Me? Why? Was your search unsuccessful?" He asked.

"No! We found her!" Shelby exclaimed, a little too loudly than she meant. "Oops, sorry guys." She giggled.

The guys had their hands over their ears but they just smiled, "It's okay Shelbs." Adam said, then turned to the other person in the room. "Jin, I need you to find Ty and Red, and take them to the address that we went to."

"How come? Didn't you guys just go? You guys found her after all! Where is she anyway?" Jin asked too many questions, but he couldn't help himself, he's been wanting to see Jess forever.

"We ran into a problem, I'll explain." Ross said as he and Jin walked out the room, and down the hallway.

It was just Shelby and Adam left in the room. Adam held his head up high, he knew that they would find Jess one of these days, and wasn't he right? They did find Jess, but she ran from them.. why?

The thought pondered in Adam's mind.. why would she run?
