You stuck your phone to the side on the nightstand and fell asleep. In the morning you woke up before your alarm and looked at your phone. You scanned it and saw no new messages, so you decided to send the first one. You turned on the screen and went into your chat. You were about to send a message when your mom bursts into your room. You quickly dropped your phone under the covers and pretended you were asleep. You heard a lot of things being slammed off of your dresser and desk. You moved your covers off your face and saw your mom, she was holding a bottle of some type of hard drink. You slid off the bed and yanked it out of her hand.
"Stop it you little slut!" she yelled as she shoved you back onto your bed.
"Mom, it's 7 am, stop drinking for once in your fucking life!"
You grabbed the bottle from her hand and set it on the nightstand. You turned around to face your mom only to get slapped, so hard that it echoed through the room. You turned and looked back at your mom, glaring as tears of pain threatened to fall.
"What is your problem?" you said in a low voice
"Give it back, give me back my drink."
"Mother! What is your problem? What stresses you out so much you need to drown in drugs to numb it?"
Your mother grabbed your shoulders and pinned you to the wall, then slammed you against the wall and banging your head which each word,
"Give me back my drink!" she yelled
She let go and you grabbed your head and crouched on the ground to hold the pain. Your mom grabbed the drink off the nightstand and took a long gulp from it while you slid onto your butt. She slammed your bedroom door on the way out. After a while you heard some noise coming from your bed. You pulled the covers off the bed to see that you had been on a call the whole time with Seokjin.
"Y/n, is everything okay?" his voice was really worried
"Yeah, I am so sorry, my thumb slipped and it called you, I'm so sorry."
"Don't apologize, are you okay? There was a lot of noise and yelling and bang-."
"Don't worry about it, I'm used to it."
You then covered your mouth after saying that and air face palmed yourself.
"Anyways."you continued
"Do you want to meet up sometime, my work shift starts at noon so we can meet before then."
"Where do you work?" he asked
"Just at Jitters, it's a coffee shop downtown near-."
"My work is down there, I will just come at my lunch break and meet you there.""Okay-." He hung up before you could say anything else.
You got all ready and cleaned up your room. You took some pain medicine and then snuck out your window in fear of your parents. You knew you had to leave early because of the transportation you need to get downtown. You reached Jitters at around 11:30 and sat outside waiting for SeokJin. Minutes past and after many of them it was 11:55. You couldn't wait anymore so you just went into to work. You were disappointed, but why.
You knew that nobody cared for you, so why did you think this man was going to keep his promise. Why was he going to be like any of the rest. You pulled out your phone and messaged him, letting him know that you had to work and that you would talk later. Your shift was just as boring as it normally was, customers coming and going, some nice, some rude, you didn't really care, you were still hung up on the failed meetup.
After your shift ended you checked your phone to see 9+ messages from the app. You opened it up and it was just a bunch of apologies until you saw one text that made you wonder.
'My boss and the boys told me I can't meet up with you because people would see.'
Why did he need to discuss with his boss, and what boys? You were too confused. You got home and took a shower before going to bed. As you were about to turn off your lamp to sleep you phone started to receive a face-time from 'Seokjin'. You debated whether you should answer or decline. You were tired, but you also wanted to talk. You stared at your phone screen for a while until you made up your mind.
