"I'm home." Kageyama yelled to no one in particular when he entered his house with a smaller girl following him.
"Welcome home dear." A sweet silk like voice of a middle aged woman could be heard from inside the house. The kitchen (Y/N) guessed, as she could also smell a very appetizing scent.
"C'mon." Kageyama exclaimed to the girl by his side to also put away her shoes and follow him inside. His voice were not left unheard by the woman in the kitchen.
"Tobio, is Eri-chan--" Her words stopped midsentence when she saw that the person beside Kageyama was not who she expected to be. Her once sweet expression turned into a mischievous smile and Kageyama already knew what was coming for him.
"Is she--"
"No mom. She's a friend." Kageyama showed a slightly irritated expression from her mother's expression.
Mom?! She looked more like Kageyama's sister.
"Eh~ How unfortunate~ She's very beautiful..." Kageyama's mother's praise made heat rush to (Y/N)'s face. She was about to say something when the beautiful woman said something again.
"But it will be a misfortune for her if she become your girlfriend."
"Mom!"
"So... What's your name dear?" Kageyama's mother lead the (H/C)-haired girl inside, ignoring and leaving his own son standing by the door with irritated expression.
"Mom... Stop trying to make every girl that you met to be my girlfriend will ya?!!!"
~~~~~
"Sorry... My mother is always like that if she met a girl other than Erika." Kageyama hold his head in a frustrated manner and the girl in front of him chuckled.
"Don't worry. She's very friendly and warm."
"Well but it took you like... an hour?"
"That's alright. After all i'm glad that I can get close to my friend's mother." It was silent for a moment but (Y/N) broke it by clapping her hands once.
"Shall we start then?"
"Oh right. Should I leave--?"
"No. Please don't leave. I... want you to be here with me." The girl said without a second thought with her very innocent face and she was kind of puzzled when she saw Kageyama's face turning redder from time to time. Then she realized what she said could be perceived as something different which was definitely embarrassing for her.
"I-I mean you could give me advice! or... something..." The girl's face turned completely red and she tried to look into anything other than the first year setter.
"Well, let's start then."
"S-sure. Have any song in mind?"
"Aren't there any specific piece you need to play?"
"Nope. I can play any song that i want."
"Any criteria for the song?"
"I don't think so. They just want us to play whatever we want."
"How's the judges supposed to judge the play if everyone is playing differently?"
"Oh haven't I told you yet? It wont be judged like that, it will be voted by the audiences there."
"I see."
"You want it classic or--?"
"Maybe, but... I think I'll start of with something closer to me. Maybe something that I like."
"Like?" The girl thought for a moment and started to put her fingers on top of the piano tuts. She started by pressing one of the tuts slowly that gave out the sound Kageyama missed from her sister. She was pressing each tuts with feelings and it gave sweet melodies to Kageyama's ears. He listened to it and finally realized that he knew the song.
[(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l4O9lB0A9ns) If you need to listen to the song you can listen to this video. I was thinking of something like this]
Kataware... doki?
(Y/N) played every single part gracefully without any mistake. The song then finally come to an end.
"How was that?" (Y/N) waited for Kageyama to reply but the boy was still in a daze. She slapped her hands on Kageyama's cheek lightly to wake him up from his daydream. He then noticed she had already finished the song.
"Mou Kageyama... You didn't hear my play did you?"
"I heard it really! But..."
"But?"
"It just remind me of my sister. She was always so loud and it's sometimes annoying but not having her here anymore just... feels like something's missing."
"And her music is what you missed the most from her?"
"As much as I hate to admit it, yes." (Y/N) thought for a moment then thought of a song Kageyama might like but nothing comes to her mind. So she decided to play a song she chose instead. She started to press the tuts again and made a sweet melodic sound. But this time, Kageyama not only heard the sound of piano but also a melody from an angelic voice along with it.
