She stared at the moon in its full beauty tonight. The grey blending in with silver as she walked back and forth. It was late, if she walked any further the sky would be completely hidden from sight entering the forest lying ahead. She didn't want her friends to worry if they woke up not finding her asleep but something stirred her from bed not too long ago and she couldn't sleep since.

Again she walked back towards her path leading home before turning abruptly back towards the forest. Confused, she dropped herself to the ground resting her head against her paws. She wasn't scared of the forest, the worst that were there were animals, humans maybe to say the least and she never saw them out this late. Again she picked up herself, walking steadily into the darkness her eyes dilating adjusting for her to see clearly. She walked over to a cocoa leave, tipping it, drinking the water caught on its surface before moving on.

Reaching the edge her mouth fell open taking in the luminosity of the wall. A superior godness, her height soaring near the heavens as her width melted into the earth. For a while she stood taking in the majestic site of the marble stones that shone in beauty in the moonlight, rays of pink and yellow, blue and green scattered across the lake green grass.

As she placed a paw forward to move closer, people appeared, sheltered in black cloaks, their forms shielded from her view. She stepped back instinctively knowing her fur would surely make her recognizable, watching them from a distance. The air permeated with that strange scent again. A mixture of some odd concoction. It was similar to a wolf, yet something faintly resembling what humans had but there was also something else. Almost putrid. She hated the scent but watched as they made their way down the wall together before disappearing inside. She started to growl upset when her ears flicked picking up a sound and she suddenly found herself across the ground.

Shanna stared up into the darkness only making out a pair of eyes unable to move. Pushing back frantically, trying to get up as fear took over, she started to growl realizing she wasn't able to move as easily as she'd like to.

Suddenly his head peaked out from the darkness, his jet black fur glistening under the moon light. She still growled at him agitated that he couldn't find other means to say hello instead of hurting her. The large wolf stepped back sitting on his hind legs staring own at her waiting for her to move. Now that she was well again she could easily loose him, but she didn't have a desire to run. In fact she wanted to know who those off- people were.

He moved forward the moment she got up stoking her with his nose. She huffed a little at his invasion of her space but allowed him to continue none the less before she returned the affection. He nudged her a little every time, a little more than the first playfully.

"I told you not to return" he said into her ear and she opened her eyes realising that he had changed. For a moment she stared at him. It was said that regals might have lost the ability to shift since their human forms were dominant instead of their wolf but clearly it wasn't so. At least not for him.

He stoked her fur slowly, his fingers sliding through easily caressing her skin. His temperature was warm much higher than her own at the moment.

Maybe he needed to be hotter to stay alive, she thought.

Shanna didn't think of all the things she now thought about before meeting him. It was almost like a new world to her. She closed her eyes giving in to the caress of his hands feeling no danger eminent, before she shifted falling into his person. Now that she was human likewise he caressed her face, meaning not to be forward and she sighed satisfactorily snuggling even closer to him securing more warmth.

She hadn't noticed it before but now he felt like a burning furnace against her skin and every touch of his fingers left almost a jolt of electricity. She pulled away abruptly staring at him unable to comprehend what was happening and he looked at her taken aback from her sudden action before he sighed realizing the confusion on her face.
