Lunch time began and Evan had starting feeling more and more nervous with each passing second. Even Rehaan felt nervous for the very first time in his life. He'd never experienced nervousness before because of his tough demeanor till that day.

Rehaan's P.O.V.

I feel betrayed, exhausted and nervous as well to meet Evan. I'm somewhat embarassed for my deeds but my reasons were legitimate. He has read my diary and now knows my thoughts. I wonder how he will behave as I have been nothing, but cruel and jealous towards him. But he was the one who'd left me stranded with no one to rely on. He was the one who didn't understand me. Probably he still thinks that it's all my fault.

I started walking towards the assembly hall where I was supposed to meet Evan. My palms were sweaty.
I was just in time to see Evan entering there as well.

He spoke,"We can talk in the sports room as it is empty."

I nodded and he moved forward leaving me to follow him. There were three chairs kept inside the room and we sat on the two distant chairs. Both of us were busy trying to choose the right words to start our deep conversation which who knows will lead where.

Evan's P.O.V.

I had been dreading this moment but I am finally here. I am totally nervous and confused about what I should begin with. It's really weird especially this negative atmosphere building around us. His eyes are totally showing his whirlwind of emotions ready to be let out while his head Jung's a bit down in shame.

I decided to speak first as he was was showing no signs of having a word out of his mouth.

"Rehaan, I know it's really tough for you to speak but I want you to know that I have read your diary. I want to apologize for that first. Secondly, sorry for not supporting you when you needed me as a friend." I paused for a second and saw tears brimming his eyes. I continued,"I never wanted to end our friendship.... But slowly you started staying distant and I was utterly confused and felt betrayal. But today I want to make a promise to you.... That I will be your friend, no matter what happens. You can tell me whatever you want to. I will support you in each and every situation."

He was sobbing. And I engulfed him in a brotherly sort of hug. Hesitant at first, he hugged me. I laughed at his next words.

"I have really missed these bear hugs from you."

Then he proceeded further" I am also sorry as it's my mistake to plot you for some crime you haven't done. I promise to stay truthful to you in all the matters. I am feeling really overwhelmed that you are still letting me be your friend after all that I have done."

And we spent the rest of the day at school together. Later on we met at my house and played games like old times. I have never felt this relaxed for long time. Maybe this overdue conversation of ours brought something good out of it. I hope that our friendship will be strengthened once again. I've really missed my buddy.
