"Cmon Connie! You've been here for years." Alex says sitting down.

"Doesn't mean I know her personally- wait!" Connie says while going into her backpack pulling out tape.

"Get her thumb print in this." Connie says giving the tape to Alex.

"Wha- Connie she's sitting with Angelica." Alex said nervously.

"Exactly... just say you need help pulling the tape out." Connie says.

Alex rolls his eyes and walks to Leslie. "Uh hey Leslie, can you help me uhh pull out a piece of tape."

The girls look at him weirdly but Leslie complies. "See you put you're thumb on it like this." Alex says showing her an example but not touching the tape.

"I recognize you. Don't you sit with Connie?" Angelica asks in disgust.

Leslie finishes and gives the piece of tape to Alex. "Here you go." She says.

Alex leaves to avoid any more embarrassment and questions. "He's an odd one." Su'maya comments before continuing their conversation, about using her video of what happened to suspend Connie.

"This'll be sooo good. Let me see it again." Kayla asks.

Leslie digs in her pocket and looks worried. "I left it somewhere." She says standing up abruptly.

Angelica stands up quickly as well and the girls run class to class looking for it.

When they get back to their table in defeat and annoyance Leslie looks in her backpack and sees it.

"This is gonna be funny..." She says awkwardly.

"Connie Maheswaran please come to the principal's office." The intercom speaks.

Nobody looks up in shock presuming it's probably another good thing. Connie stands up nervously and walks to the office.

When she enters she sees Angelica sitting down as well with a big grin on her face.

Connie sits down and the principal starts, "Connie you're usually a star student. So why am I getting a report that you punched another student?" The principal says disappointingly.

Connie acts shocked. "Sir, these accusations are preposterous. I'd never harm another student."

"And I would appreciate to be sent back to class. Due to lack of evidence and my clean record." Connie says like angelically.

"You may-" The principal starts.

"Oh I've got evidence!" Angelica says happily, pulling out Leslie's phone.

She swipes furiously looking for the video. Starting to panic when she doesn't see it.

"I-I saw the video." Angelica says still searching.

The principal gives a nod to Connie telling her she can leave.

At the end of the day Connie expected Angelica to confront her about what happened in the principals office so she was preparing a good defense.

She felt like more people than usual were looking at her but chalked it up to her own superstition. Walking outside of the school she walked to her bus but felt a yank.

Instead of Angelica who she was expecting, it was a random girl she's never seen before.

"You should be ashamed of what you've done Connie. Us women are supposed to have lines." The girl said before shooting Connie a look of disgust.

Okay what happened now? Connie thinks as Alex runs up to her.

"Connie you'll never believe what rumor Angelica spread about you." Alex says tired from running.

"Okay but I can't miss my bus, I've got training make it quick?" Connie replies.

"Okay on her Insta she made a post 'exposing' you for sleeping with her 'boyfriend' and attacking her from jealousy. It's a whole hashtag #hideyourman." Alex says summarizing.

Connie rolls her eyes. "It's whatever."

"I- it- it's whatever? This is your whole social life Connie!" Alex says shaking Connie.

She sighs and shrugs. "If this makes Angelica happy then whatever. I have a life you know Alex. And part of that life includes saving yours." Connie says walking to her bus sticking her tongue out at Alex making him even more confused.

After getting dropped off to Steven's house after the usual interrogation from her parents Connie was excited to finally train.

She had just finished sword fighting and was happy to learn new combat. Maybe I'll finally learn some hand to hand combat! She thinks.

Steven was in his room doing whatever he was doing so Connie decided not to bother him.

"Heyyy Connie. Pearl tells me you're gonna be a ninja!" Amethyst says sitting on the counter.

"Woah really!" Connie says enthusiastically.

"I never said that Amethyst. This is a serious type of learning and not some television nonsense!" Pearl says appearing from her room.

"What am I doing then?" Connie asks.

"A series of training on how to stealthily explore in enemy territory. Since you and Steven are more defensive than offensive." Pearl explains while pushing Amethyst off of the kitchen counter.

"Cool!" Connie exclaims while Amethyst says "I told you ninja."

"Could you talk to Steven. He's awfully quiet today." Pearl asks.

"Uhhh I might not be the right person. I think he's mad at me." Connie explains.

"What'd you do?" Amethyst asks like it's an interesting story.

"Well I punched a girl and Steven got mad."

"Woah! Go Connie." Amethyst cheers.

"That is not what training is for!" Pearl says shocked.

"I don't need training to punch someone." Connie says shrugging.

Steven starts walking down the stairs from the noise.

"Hey Connie." He greets.

"That doesn't seem mad to me." Amethyst says.

"Oh you told them about Angelica?" Steven asks groaning.

"Who's Angelica?" Amethyst asks.

"Is that the girl you brought over a few days ago?" Pearl asks causing Amethyst to snort.

"Woah Connie you punched his girlfriend?" Amethyst asks laughing.

Connie blushes from embarrassment. "You know I have training now Amethyst. I'm gonna be a ninja-"

"You're not training to be a ninja!" Pearl snaps walking with Connie to the warp pad.

Steven gives Connie a slight smile before they warp away.
