20: Fresh

I listened to Paperjam ramble on about the interesting book he read. I didn't really care, but hearing the happiness and excitment in his voice... It was hard not to pay attention even the tiniest bit...

He smiled up at me, a grateful look in his eyes. He looked so calm and at peace... Ever since I killed my brother that is~ And a few others~

Soon, he stopped talking, his voice ringing in the air like dew.

I rose an eyebrow at him as I completely focused on him.

He was looking at me, smiling the sweetest, most innocent smile I had ever seen~

I cupped his cheek, rubbing my thumb under his right eye. His smile softened more, his head leaning into my palm.

"I wish I could stay with you forever." He murmured, his eyes fading in a distant look.

My soul, it skipped, it jumped! He wanted to stay, with me! Forever!

I opened my mouth to say something, but an annoying knock had to interrupt our moment.

We looked to the door, a small snarl on my lips.

Taking a deep breath, I calmed my face and stood up with Jam-Jam in my arms.

I opened the door, revealing Error and Ink, Ink's face fell with relief as he yanked Jammy from my arms. Oh, how hard it was to control myself from trying to kill him!

Pulling myself back, I forced a smile on my face.

"Am I late ta drop off?" I gave a short chuckle.

Ink shook his head before leaving back to the Anti-Void. This left only Error at my door step.

He sighed, quickly looking down before looking up at me. His expression caused my smile to fall.

"Paperjam isn't coming back to see you." He muttered in a deep voice. Surprisingly, it wasn't glitching. "With all the deaths that's been happening and the corrupted lands, he's no longer safe outside the Anti-Void."

I felt my mouth drop open slightly, I felt my world twirl around before falling. They were taking my Jammy away... They were taking him from me!

The glitch didn't wait to see how I would respond, he left through that damn portal. Leaving me here in this disgusting AU alone.

I stormed inside, slamming the door close.

The force shook the house... But I couldn't care.

He wasn't coming back... He wasn't going to be in my arms... He wasn't going to be safe...

"AAAHHH!" I picked up the small stand at the doorway, throwing it into the wall in front of me!

It shattered upon impact! I could still feel the rage burn my bones... It hurt so badly!

I huffed, my head felt light...

Then, I felt a dark aura in my living room.

"Fresh, calm down." Nightmare's voice broke through my rage, but I couldn't calm down! I won't!

"They're taking him from me! They're keeping him from me! How can I calm down!" I shouted at him, stomping my foot like a child.

The gooey monster sighed softly, cautiously taking a few steps towards me.

"You know he won't listen to them. He's attach to you almost as much as you're attach to him." He told me.

His words calmed me, his words reminded me what he said before he was taken away...

"He wants to be with me..." My voice sounded distant, dreamy almost... "He wants to be with me forever..."

The King gave me an freakish smile, nodding his head.

"They can't keep him from you, he'll come back to you... He will..." I felt the anger leave me at that. "But, you need to prepare for when he comes back."

I smiled at Nightmare. He was right... I wasn't done yet... I had to prepare.

"Yes, you're right!" I fixed my glasses, turning my back to the monster behind me. "I have to get ready for my sweet Jam- Jam~"

I left after that, making a few trips to a few different AUs~ Oh, he'll never leave me once he's back in my arms~ He'll never have to leave~
