Second Chapter: Augustinians
Francine's point of view
Noong una, I never thought I'll really get to something like this.
"Good morning, Miss?" Heto na naman tayo. Pasimple akong ngumiti doon sa babaeng guard.
"Mercado." Well, technically hindi.
"Francine Delos Reyes Mercado. Grade 11 - Louisa Mercedes. Welcome to Augustine Academy. You are now an official Augustinian."
Pfft, can't help it.
Tatiana's point of view
Well, that transferee sure is weird. Bukod sa ngayon ko lamang siya nakita, she looks like as if she hasn't met a robot in her life. Which is, strange. Everyone in Kerala is more than used to being with metallic buddies, compared to human interaction.
Whatever, I sure hope she won't be my classmate. She's bubbly as hell, it irritates me more when I'm at my house.
Glancing at my watch, I realized that there is still exactly twenty minutes and forty three seconds before the class starts. Forty two seconds now, to be accurate.
I turned the volume of my music to its maximum level, not giving a damn if I'll be deaf in the future. I can get cured, and nobody will care. Ano pa ba nga bang bago?
After swiping my card, all I could do is sigh.
"Tatiana Grayson. Grade 11- Louisa Mercedes." Looks like luck isn't always with me. Oh, right. When did luck ever favored me?
With slumped shoulders, I walked my way to the school's elevator, I'm too lazy to walk up the stairs for exercise or so. Besides, nineteen minutes more. Another sigh, for I saw my beloved fiancée waving his hand as he sees me.
Huh, fiancée. I don't even know a single thing about him. But, why do I care? I don't really have plans on marrying someone in the future, gotta give a thanks later to my Mom. If she's at home and not worrying about our riches and stuffs.
"Hi, babe." There goes with that pet name again. I rolled my eyes and let him do whatever he wants, he knows very well that I don't care.
I felt him hugging me behind my back, whispering childish nursery theme songs while swaying our bodies. Mukha talaga siyang tanga.
