Fun While It Lasted

"Dinner's ready!" I called out, hoping someone would hear me and call everyone else to our humongous table. If I go insane one day it will be because of that table.

"Everyone get down here!" Ten screamed at the top of his lungs, running upstairs to repeat it to whomever was up there.

"We need a chair for Katana." WinWin reminded me as the three of them came out of the room, and I tried to think if there was an extra one somewhere.

"Who's Katana? Did Dad finally bring a date home?" Taeil asked from the stairs, and I waited for her to try and fight someone again.

"Wait. How many of you are there?" She stood completely still as her eyes widened, and I laughed.

"I thought Yuta warned you that he has ten brothers."

"Hmm?"

"Not you, Chittaphon, the number." Jaehyun smacked his head lightly as he took his place at the table that wasn't set yet.

"Who's month is it for setting the table?" The boys all looked at WinWin and he smiled innocently before running to the cupboard to get the plates and utensils out.

"Nobody answered my question on who Katana is." Taeil repeated, and she held up her hand to alert him of her presence. Her confident aura was put back in place now that everyone wasn't coming from all sorts of places, and I pulled out a folding chair I found in the closet for her.

"So you're Ten and you're Johnny. I know Yuta and WinWin along with Taeyong, so who are you all?" I placed the chair at the table next to Yuta, but Ten quickly moved it so he would be sitting next to her instead.

"I'm Kun, that's my twin Taeil, Jaehyun, Doyoung, Jungwoo, and then the other twins, Lucas and Mark." He pointed at each one in turn, and Katana nodded as she sat down at the table.

"Fujita Katana. Not Yuta's girlfriend or a date Taeyong brought home." She smiled cheekily, and I laughed. I'm glad she's staying for dinner.

"So how was everyone's first day of school?" I asked once the food was being passed around and Ten instantly hit his fist against the table before talking.

"The teacher keeps calling me Chittaphon and it says it on my name tag! She says she won't call me Ten because it's a number." He crossed his arms, only uncrossing them when the food came around.

"Just wait until you get really into a math unit. Then you'll be really confused." Johnny commented, and I'm just now realizing how confused this child will grow up being. Might not have been the best nickname we could have given him.

"Yeah, but I don't like everyone just calling me Chittaphon." He pouted, and Katana ruffled his hair.

"Just tell everyone to call you Ten and eventually the teacher might give in." He shrugged, dishing the food onto his plate before passing it on to Katana.

"Some kids tried making me join the cross country team just because I ran down the hallway so I wouldn't be late." Taeil added in, and Kun started laughing.

"I saw that! That one teaching was screaming at you to walk!"

"Since you two are in seventh grade now, you can go into whatever sports or clubs you want. Just putting it out there." The twins looked at each other before shrugging.

"Too much effort."
