I walk in to see amir curled up in a ball on the floor sobbing "amir, what's wrong?" I ask "h-hes right I c-cou-couldnt save t-them, i-im worthless" he said in-between sobs " no, don't blame your self I know you will catch the man who did this, you are not worthless" I tell him
Amir POV
After twenty minutes I cried myself to sleep in the captians bed, the last thing I remember is hearing the captians voice saying one phrase "I promise amir, I'll take care of you" then darkness took over
Shawn's POV
I knock on the captians door " come in" he say, when I walk in I see amir passed out on the captians bed with tears dried on his face "w-what...." I begin "thats the result of your words Shawn, he thinks he's worthless for not being able to do anything and no being able to track down and kill the man that caused this" the captians says, I don't say anything I go over to amir and the captian "I've never seen him cry before or get that angry" I say quietly the captian sighs " he's sensitive about his family, your lucky that, the girl was able to calm him down otherwise you might have had to stay here for our next trip" the captians say " aye" with that said I turn and walk away
Amir POV(4 months later)(amir and Tania have grown closer with the time he spent at that town and finally the day he didn't want to see come, the day of his departure) I'm walking on the lower deck to double check everything is in order, I was about to head back up when I heard a noise coming from behind a barrel, weird we are all ready pretty far away from the village town so there is no turning back, I was about to go back to continue my climb when the noise came again so I went to check it out as I turn around the barrel I get smacked in the head with something hard "ow" was all I could manage before another hit to the head rendered me unconscious.
