Test your limits, it's the only way of knowing how good you really are.
1. Join contests. You can go check out the various accounts handled by the Wattpad ambassadors (just search up the genre that you enjoy writing the most).
We have Romance, TeenFiction, mystery, action, ChickLit, humor and literally every genre exsiting. They have a guidebook provided, so you can go check them out if you're interested.
2. Participate in awards (if you already have a book published). There are A TON out there. Though it is not really associated with the staff of Wattpad, this can be really helpful. Just go search the tag #awards and they'll pop up.
For example we have the The Creative Awards (which is the awards I'm hosting by the way). You can find it here: thecreativecorner_
3. Take advantage of review shops. To be hoenst, i'm glad there's a lot of these in Wattpad (I'm pretty sure these never existed back then). Again, just search up the tag #reviewshop and you'll get there.
4. Join the Wattys. It only happens once every year, so don't lose your chance!!
How will I benefit from this?
- Your book will get more reads and be more recognized
- You will know what others think about your work and therefore improve
- Your writing skills will enhance (practice makes perfect, they say)
- Higher self-esteem in writing
