"So what's your surprise?" I ask Finn as we drive away from the beach.

"You'll see. It's at my house."

"Okay." I have no clue what it could be. I know he said it was nothing big, but I'm still curious. "Can I at least get a hint?"

"No," he laughs. "Okay fine, it's at my house. Really, it's not much."

I shuffle around in my seat, smiling to myself as I adjust the volume on the car stereo.

"Let's go downstairs," he says.

"Okay?" I say, confused. I've only been in his basement a couple of times, and all that's down there is a treadmill and storage. I follow him down the stairs, to see that things have been re-arranged a bit. He has two beanbags with a ton of blankets and pillows set up, as well as some snacks.

"It's like mine but indoors," I laugh.

"Well, it's a movie night," he says. He walks over to the shelf on the wall behind the beanbags and presses a button on some device. The projector lights up on the white wall facing the setup.

"Holy shit," I think out loud. "That's so cool."

We both sit down on the beanbags and start going through the Netflix selections for a movie. I take off my shoes and kick my feet back on a pillow, before looking at the snacks. "Go back," I tell him as he scrolls.

"Napoleon Dynamite?" he asks.

"Yep," I nod my head. "It's been a while since we've watched it." He smirks as he presses play on the movie. We've watched it before, with our friends. Before we were dating.

He opens a bag of cheese doritos, and we both dig in while we watch the movie. It always makes me laugh, so we spend the movie for the most part giggling. When the movie ends, Finn and I have closed the gap between our beanbags. I'm cuddled up in between his arms, enjoying his embrace.

The credits start rolling, and Finn grabs the remote to turn off the movie. "You know, it's funny how we had such similar surprises," I tell him.

"Yeah," he smiles, "it is. I guess great minds think alike."

"So... what time is it?"

He checks his phone for the time. "9:30. What are your plans for the rest of the night?"

"I dunno, maybe I can sleep over?"

Finn has an unsure look on his face. "I don't think my parents would like that, as much as I want you to."

"Oh yeah." I always forget that Finn's parents have rules for him. Mine honestly don't care, plus, they don't pay that much attention to me. It's not the best, sometimes. "Well, you could sleep over at mine," I suggest. "My parents are away for a valentines day trip."

Finn thinks for a moment. "Yeah, that works. I'll just say I went over to Cole's or something. They're out at dinner right now, so they won't see us leave together."

"Cool," I smile, putting my shoes back on. "My place, it is."

I stand up and walk over to him. He looks down at me, appreciating our height difference. "What?" he smiles at my random behavior.

"Do you have any condoms?" I ask, heavily implying something.

"I'll grab them from my room before we leave," he tells me, smiling.

Finn and I enter my quiet home together, laughing about some joke he just made. I grab his hand and he follows me up the stairs. We go to my room and both sit down on the bed, removing our shoes like it's automatic.
