The castle was oddly silent that bright afternoon. Emilia sat on her bed with a diamond pendant in her hand. It was the last gift she ever got from her mother before her death. Even though she couldn't remember much from that day, she still felt it was her fault. She always felt guilty for not being able to do anything, for not being able to become the great queen her mother was.
She wrapped the necklace around her neck and played gently with the diamond that rested on her chest when a big quake was felt through out the kingdom. The people were terrified, some were getting a glimpse of Deja vu while others assumed it was just a small earthquake but no, it was more than that and the king knew it. King Damian already knew what this was and it was what he feared the most. Although it didn't make any sense since they've been supposedly sealed off by the great angel and fairy clan but he knew it was them. He had been expecting it, all those small signs and the weird dreams , they all connected to this... the rise of the demon clan.
After 12 years of waiting and planning patiently, they were finally ready. Yes it was believed that they were sent off to the abyss for eternity but no matter how hard king Damian tried to reason it, he just couldn't pin point it. How did they escape? that question ran through his head but he didn't have time to dwell on that all that he needed to think about now was how he was gonna send them back in. He had a plan, but it was a 5O, 50 plan especially since he knew that vasilios would be one of them which made the plan even more deadly to carry out but he needed to...for Emilia.. and for the people.
"Drew!" the king called out for his most trusted knight. "Yes my king" the 6'1 dark haired, green eyed knight bursted into the throne room, his metal armor clacking against the tiled floor as he walked over to the king. "Go to the tower, take Emilia to the primeval forest , the hour has fallen upon us"
"What about you my king?"
"Do not worry about me , your number one priority is the princess... protect her with your life drew"
"I will my king"
"Good, now go!"
Drew charged out of the throne room and headed for the princess while the king sat on his throne, a calm smirk forming on his face while he clutched unto his sacred sword,Joyeuse.
He didn't even seem to shiver when the walls of the throne room blasted open to reveal Vasilios who looked almost the same as he did 12 years ago. His dark eyes suited his evil smirk as he glared at his younger brother. "Stavros" he growled out.
"How are you here?" stavros asked calmly.
"Did you really think a little angel seal could hold me brother?"
"I watched you go down to the abyss"
"Well you can thank your little humans for my arrival"
Stavros eyes bulged out in shock but he quickly recovered though he wasn't expecting to hear that.
"You see these humans are as selfish as they are stupid, promise them a pot of gold or a little power and they'll sell their hearts in an instant"
The two locked eyes and even a blind person could see the hatred they held for each other. To think that 2 of the closest and strongest sons of the demon king would end up hating each other to the extent of wanting to see the other dead. Shame.
"Where is she?" Vasilios asked , there was no need for starvos to act dumb, he already knew why he came here, he knew want he wanted and he would rather be damned than to let him have her.
"I'd rather die than to give her up" Starvos said through gritted teeth. Although it seemed more like a cliche saying, he actually meant it. He would rather die protecting his daughter from the demons than to be alive and let her be hurt by them. After losing Aria , he vowed to protect Emilia till his last breath and to slaughter anyone who came in his way... even his own brother.
"Then so be it then..." with that said, Vasilios charged for his brother without a care in the world and the only thing being heard from the outside of the throne room was the clanging of the princes two swords while the knights were busy killing or being killed by other demons. It was the war of a century all over again.
